Interestingly, no one actually interfered with Mr. Parsons' rights of free speech -- he got to say exactly what he wanted to say to whomever he wanted to say it to. No one prevented him from doing that.

Now, he may learn that the right of free speech has never immunized people from the consequences for saying certain things (like threats. (if they prove he did that).
