Beard and Ole Miss about to beat Alabama at Bama

Beard has the experience and ability to win at IU. I don't know that he has much of a desire to move farther north. But he is a good coach, has the coaching pedigree and would be able to handle the bright lights of Assembly Hall.

I don't know anything about why he left Texas or personal misdeeds. I don't remember reading anything definitive.

From a coaching perspective, he is a good match I think. Not the only one.

The girlfriend dropped the charges so WGAFF?

Yea, of course she did. And I’m sure there was no money involved.

Anyone who reads the police report and still thinks Beard would be a good role model and leader for the university is fooling themselves. No thanks.

if the police have enough evidence, they could have still charged him, we live in a country where a felon can be president but an accused but not convicted person in a domestic dispute cant coach basketball.

I'm willing to bet Pam Whitten does.....
One key role Pam and the BoT has in this process is considering reputation and headline risk for the university. There are many good coaches out there, Beard’s baggage isn’t worth it. Every article on the new IU hire will talk about the DV allegations. And there are stories beyond the DV stuff that isn’t good either. He isn’t the right candidate.
