Seemed to share a long embrace with Howard at the end. I don't and havent seen much from him at all
He was very into the game. Woody shortened the bench. He hasn't earned mins over Gallo/JG it looks like.
Right where he needs to be. Now sit Stew next to him. Play ball!
You mean the guy who hit two critical buckets to keep us from getting blown out? Had 5 points in 13 min? That Stew?
Hope all is well his development is needed for Indiana to become a threat you don't just grow 4-5 stars on a tree.
One good stretch in one game. Stewart has been abysmal in B1G play. There's a reason he wasn't on the floor in crunch time.
I saw that also. They also had a very brief conversation.
Made me wonder if Howard had or will offer him playing time via the portal. We shall see.
So frigin what. They need every bit of production they got. Give it a flippin rest. He gave them what he could. I mean JG only had 5? Finally played a game where he wasn’t lost on D but I don’t care. We needed him too.
13 min is enough for me. Glad he was productive during that time, but I like Gallo to get the ball moving more.
I'd rather see a Kopp/Stewart interchange. But Woody knows more than me, so I'll just coach from my rocker. Lol.
I think this is the sentiment from a lot of fans including myself. Woody was there too before Galloway’s second injury. Remember he started in place of Stewart after the Northwestern game until his second injury. He just got back from that today so not surprised he came off the bench.
Personally I believe if Galloway had not been injured at all this year he probably becomes the starter by mid season and never loses it. Then we probably would have seen Stewart/Kopp subbing for one another. Unfortunately Galloway lost half the year to injury. Here’s to hoping he cam back at the right time to take us on a run!
Saw that also and I think there is a good chance something portal related was subtlety mentioned.
He had his warm ups on for a reason, so I’m not worried too much either way. If you can’t get in the court for this team then…. Especially with Kopp and Stewart starting.
I don’t get the impression TB is going to be a great long term fit for IU, and I’m totally fine with that.

No flame at all at least from me. I agree with the part about if he doesn’t want to be here then move on and we will find someone else.
I think he can develop into a player for us and think he will. I don’t see him wanting to leave when he has as good a shot as anyone to come in and start next year. I highly doubt going to another major program will be easier.
He hasn’t been much of a value add in a long time. I’m not sure why he plays to be honest. I would agree with the word abysmal for the Purdue game highlighted by a tech and fouling Sasha on a three.
Woodson had a perfect opportunity to basically sideline him after his second suspension, but he’s stuck with him. I think it’s borderline criminal that Leal has to sit while he plays, but I realize I’m in the minority on that one.

I agree with what you say. However at that age, me too btw, I don’t think things are thought through as well.
Tamar has played important minutes, as opposed to Duncomb, and his absence when CMW admitted he was “searching for a lineup” spells an issue. Maybe minor maybe big. I do not know.
Figuring out where to go to college for a scholarship player, and be correct, strikes me as a tough decision to get right.
Yep it’s possible you are right. Who knows what’s going through the mind of an 18 year old in a world where we have 40+ year old fans who should know better but want instant gratification NOW!!!!!
I hope you are wrong though because I really do think he can be a major contributor to us next year with a lot of work. A month or so from now and we will all know the answers. Hopefully good news for IU!
Bates looked engaged in the game and outcome of the game. Knowing his preference for black coaches. It very well could be Bates communicating with Juwan about the issue that happened with Wisconsin and that Bates is happy he’s still coaching. Pure speculation on my part
I was speculating too. If Bates can make a jump next year we sure could use him next year
Both Bates and lander need to spend major time with Cliff Marshall after the season is over. Neither one, in my opinion, is built to play the game at this level, much less the next. They are both immature physically and, if they transfer, then probably mentally also. Changing scenery without improving their physical stature and games won't help them much.
As for Bates and Juwann Howard, not sure what Howard and Michigan can give Bates that he can't get at IU. It is also possible IU may be a better place to get PT next year than UM. If Bates doesn't play a lot better defense there probably aren't that many places where he gets a lot of PT.
Lander may have scoring potential, but right now he is a defensive liability that is prone to fouls and a bit of a turnover machine. Both need to improve a lot to help this team next year.

Bates is on my team - he clearly just needs time and has the potential to grow into an outstanding player. I hope it’s at IU. I seriously doubt Howard, seconds after a brutal loss, is poaching players. Come on - let’s get behind our players.
More importantly we would have won at least 3 more games likely at least 2 as the NW game is kinda moot.
He got yanked quick because he was lost on D again. Doesn't add much on offense. No lift at the rim, mediocre shooter, not that quick, and no offensive moves beyond drive and pull up from 8 ft.
Very humble statement! Until yesterday it seemed Woody had forgotten his roots because of his 40 years in the NBA. There are not many of us who will admit that we know less Woody about college basketball.
Bates will get better. Only a freshman last year. He seemed to be getter better by the end of the year. Still think guys drove right around him. Hopefully he'll fix that. Let's hope he makes the big leap.
