Anyone have details on the games? The only information I have seen is posted above for Game 2 (twitter). IU Athletics has done a very poor job of reporting on these baseball games. Indeed, it has been almost nonexistent for the entire fall exhibition season. If baseball is to flourish and grow, IU needs to pick-up the coverage, BIG TIME! GBR!

Baseball Holds Annual Awards Banquet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana baseball team held its annual banquet on Sunday morning at the Henke Hall of Champions and honored its seniors, while also handing out awards for the 2016 season.

In addition to national and conference award recognition, Head Coach Chris Lemonis distributed the team's annual awards.

MVP honors went to Logan Sowers, who led Indiana last season with a .466 slugging percentage and tied for the top spot for home runs with eight. With six multi-RBI games, including four games with three-or-more, he drove in 25 RBI to round out Indiana's top three in that category.

Behind his second-straight 30-plus RBI season, senior Craig Dedelow picked up Offensive Player of the Year honors. The Third-Team All-Big Ten selection finished the 2016 slate with five home runs and 36 RBI, both of which landed him in the No. 2 slot on the team. A Pittsburgh Pirates draft selection in June's 2016 MLB Draft, Dedelow drove in a season best five RBI against Butler courtesy of three doubles, to help cushion his team leading 16 in that category.

Currently in the Boston Red Sox farm system, Kyle Hart was pinned Indiana's Pitcher of the Year. Exiting the program as the second-winningest pitcher in the record books, Hart's 10 wins in 2016 led the Big Ten and ranked 16th nationally, while his 79 strikeouts placed him seventh in the conference. Indiana's Friday night starter during his senior campaign, Hart was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Mideast All-Region Team, while he twice boasted Big Ten Player of the Week awards in his senior season. He tossed two complete games and picked up eight quality starts (six-plus IP, three-or-less ER) en route to First-Team All-Big team accolades.

Sophomore Luke Miller earned Rookie of the Year honors for a freshman season that saw the Muncie, Ind., native earn a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team, in addition to collecting All-Big Ten Freshman laurels. Miller capped the 2016 slate hitting at a .283 clip, the second-best average for the Hoosiers' 2016 squad. His 11 doubles also stood as the second-most for Indiana, to go along with 23 RBI.

Pinned the Relief Pitcher of the Year, Jake Kelzer served as the Hoosiers' closer in 2016, posting a 1.32 ERA. Holding opposing batters to just a .171 average, Kelzer joined former Hoosier Joey DeNato in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, following an 18th round selection in June's draft. He capped off his junior season with four saves, while also picking up three wins.

In addition, Caleb Baragar, Colby Stratten and Eric Hansen were presented the Hoosier Award, which is presented to students who best exemplify the attitude and character expected of an Indiana University baseball player.

Kevin Yawger was named the team's Manager of the Year.

MVP – Logan Sowers
Offensive Pitcher of the Year – Craig Dedelow

It's an SID issue, the main baseball SID also does Football. So a lot of his time is taken up by football this time of year. It's an issue that IU is aware about. Team red won again yesterday, I think we have a good idea of who starters are and I will probably make a post about that come Jan/Feb.
