Ballo

same. I flip channels during time outs, then forgot about the game and switch back, missing several minutes. Or just walk away for a while and do something else. For me it’s just not appealing basketball to watch. Like watching the Bears…finally had to admit I had better things to do with my time than spending 3 hrs on Sunday watching a crap team play a crappy game. Shifting priorities in life play a part, but I really do wish I could spend a night or two every week in the middle of miserable winter weather and watch a great IU team go up to Madison and beat those goons. Or pin a 30pt+ loss on NW like the good ole days.
That is very well put and sadly I share your pain

My take on Ballo. I am old school and raised that when you are on a team, you don't do anything to hurt the team. You don't bitch and complain and you don't do anything off the field to weaken the team. Not being available to practice or play due to suspension is hurting your team. Putting your coach in a position to have to suspend you is hurting the team. I've seen locker room divisions start over the discipline of a player.

I wasn't an angel. I did a lot of stupid stuff. I only did that stuff outside football or track season. It meant a lot to play football . The older I got and closer to the end, the more dedicated I was to playing and wanting the team to win. I guess $$$$ has replaced winning and being a good team mate.
