IU is so inconsistent this season that a spot in the B1G tournament is probably going to be their end goal on the season. Unless things change and we are in the middle of the season, I don't see them winning the B1G tournament for a spot in the Field of 64. It remains to be seen if we go into a tailspin and not make the conference tournament field as we simply don't know which team is going to show up for each game. IU fell from a tie for 5th to a tie for 7th after that embarrassing game today at Illinois. We have a home series with a struggling Maryland team next weekend and then it's off to Iowa City for a road series with an Iowa team that is playing at a high level right now.
Right now, it's Iowa and UCLA battling it out for the regular season crown and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament with Iowa having played three more conference games up to this point.
