Action for the weekend in the B1G is over with and there are just a couple of games out in the west that are still going on and they probably won't impact the top of the RPI standings.

Nebraska took over the top spot in the B1G by percentage points with a sweep over a really, really bad Northwestern team. The B1G goes by percentage points when there is a difference in the number of games played. IU has played three more conference games than the Huskers, but next weekend will even that out with IU being out of conference against Ohio at home, while the Huskers visit Iowa for a series. Nebraska would need a sweep of Iowa to stay ahead of IU, and If they take the series against the Hawkeyes without the sweep, they would be tied with IU.

MSU and Maryland are also even with IU in conference games lost at three, but like Nebraska, they have played three fewer games than IU. MSU is at Michigan next weekend with Purdue visiting Maryland, and if either MSU and Maryland or both get a sweep, they will be tied with IU in the standings by the end of that weekend. Here's the link to the current B1G standings:

As far as the RPI goes, IU was at 17 at one point today, but fell to 20th as games were completed, and with no games scheduled for tomorrow around the country, they will probably stay there until they play again on Tuesday. The closest B1G team to IU in the RPI rankings is Rutgers at 47. Our opponent for Tuesday is Louisville and they have a RPI of 28 which makes it a Q1 game, while Weds opponent, Cincinnati has a RPI 174 which makes it a Q4 game. Ohio has a RPI of 189 which also makes our three games next weekend Q4 games. IU has the strongest SOS in the B1G right now at 44.

Nebraska's sweep of Northwestern hurt their RPI and it dropped 34 spots to 112. The Husker's SOS is 219th which also doesn't help their RPI any. IU playing both Cincy and then three games against Ohio won't help the RPI any, but IU played a pretty strong non-conference slate up to now so that will help mitigate any drop in the RPI rankings after those games are completed, plus the results of other games around the country play a part in that. Needless to say, losing just one game to those two won't help things any.
