I don't know how realistic this is, but it's certainly the safest plan. If they are doing virtual classes, this would allow some type of season... even if not desirable. I don't know how excited the players/teams would be about being essentially quarantined in Indy for a month or two. Then can there be any type of NCAA Tourney? Similar parameters... isolating somewhere for the tournament? And that would greatly increase the possibility of infection while traveling to the tournament site.
