Don’t know how these guys do it. Stay professional and give a lot of their time and effort to a program that gives shit back. Andy, Jerrod, Ryan, and coach all have unique basketball minds that blend together quite nicely.

I have also noticed a “young blood”, as coach would say, that has provided a few appearances on the show. @Josh_Pos you have a future in talking sports. I like your style a lot. Keep being true to yourself and never lose the confidence in your opinions, the authenticity bleeds through the mic.

One critique tho, Leal was awful @NW. You would have hit the rim 100 out of 100 times if put in the same situation as Leal on that shot. Don’t get me started on his passing. For a 5th year senior him and Trey are some of the dumbest IQ players. They have moments, because we really suck, and you notice a few good thing every once in awhile… but good teams Leal never sees the court. Him starting should get Woodson fired.

Give it a listen.

Leal is the least of our problems. All the things you say are techically true...but then...we usually play better as a team when he's on the floor. I think that's a by product of our system and overall team being so inconsistent, and so poorly coached, more than anything. But his willingness to cut and move, and move the ball around, and not jack up horrible shots...I think...outweighs his obvious shortcomings as a player...for THIS team. Both good and bad. He makes this team better...but this team shouldn't need him to make them better. He should be purely a locker room, mentor, type of guy on this team.

His communication helps. That is something that has lacked under MW, imho

For sure...good call. Hugely important for the guys we have, and how we play, to have a guy out there barking out commands.

Another thing that should be a fundamental thing that all the players should be forced to buy in to...but doesn't appear to be happening.

Leal does bring some needed intangibles but still, starting and playing 30 min/game while taking 1 shot per game and averaging almost zero points really puts a lot of pressure on the others to make up for the scoring.

Trey's been off his game all year. Maybe not fully recovered, who knows. Just doesn't seem like the same player who had the balls to try throwing down on big Ogre in Mackey 2 yrs ago. I gave up on him fixing his shot 2 yrs ago. It is what it is. He was never a shooter...more of an athlete. And hasn't been the same athlete since his surgery. IMO

Leal wouldn't touch the court for any SEC teams. Just because he brings a bit of "intangibles" in no way shape or form means he should play. Maybe for Ball State. He can't shoot, fouls like hell (that bulldozing a guy to get to the shooter on the 3 was a super heady play....), can't pass. Did we forget about his 5 TOs and airball on his lone shot attempt? Don't make me clip that shot and post it. I mean what else do you need for proof what happens when he plays high minutes? Remember when I said he can't hit 2 FTs to save his life @T.M.P. ?? Welp, got it again from our senior leader. Lawd have mercy!!!

Imo we'd be seeing fewer mental mistakes from Galloway, Leal, and Rice (specifically) with literally any other coach in the BT.

Good post, but lay off on Leal. Leal and TG will be better next year. Run it back!

But, what's your point? Who do you think CMW is going to put in in place of Leal that's magically going to make this a good and winning team? There's only 1 spot that if we could change it, could do that, and it's not a player. I agree on Leal's talent level but I do think he cares and he tries to make the right play and talk and get guys in the correct position. So much wrong with this team, I just don't see the value in singling out 1 guy. He and Galloway both made terrible passing decisions, and our starting PG had ZERO assists? MM scored twenty and still probably was a net negative with his D. As another poster said, there are so many problems with this team and roster that Leal is pretty far down the list of issues.

yeah he really pulled his c@ck out with that comment. If this season slides further south and we're well off the backside of the bubble in early March, gonna be an awkward second speech for him this time. (has anyone in the IU program ever got to make 2 senior day speeches?)

He certainly shouldn't be allowed to be the first if so!

Leal wouldn't play for an SEC team, for certain...but list off the coaches for the SEC teams right now...Pearl, Oats, Barnes, Beard, Pope, Golden, Jans, Williams...Damn! I've never done that before...SEC is loaded with coaches. Damn. Anyway, They get their talented kids to play the right way, so there'd be no need for someone like Leal. Woodson??? Ha ha. He has no clue. Suprised he's even seeing Leal's value, to be honest.

I like Coach Tonsoni a lot. Good man. He does a good job of being critical but also constructive.

I believe Collin Hartman MAY have--if I recall him returning for his last year was a surprise and announced really late wasn't it??? Of course I could be remembering this all wrong as well!
