It’s his only option. He was out of eligibility. He played his true freshman year at BC before transferring to ODU where he played 2 seasons. He came into BC after the COVID year.
Then why the announcement? Seems odd. It’s his only option. He was out of eligibility. He played his true freshman year at BC before transferring to ODU where he played 2 seasons. He came into BC after the COVID year.
This happens. Some graduate and don't go pro so it's an opportunity to just make it known that they're going pro. Then why the announcement? Seems odd.
Seems to me he isn’t the one who decides that. This happens. Some graduate and don't go pro so it's an opportunity to just make it known that they're going pro.
He doesn't decide if he is going pro or quitting football?Seems to me he isn’t the one who decides that.

Did you have a game tape resume , hire an agent, and participate in workouts in front of scouts ?I keep deciding to go pro...just never get picked for some reason.
Yea, there 2 decisions happening
I was joking. Flag football was about as far as I got.Did you have a game tape resume , hire an agent, and participate in workouts in front of scouts ?
Going Pro = He’s telling everyone he’s trying to get paid for playing football.
Well, yeah, that’s exactly the point I was lamely attempting to make. Seems to me the pros get to decide. A dude that’s out of eligibility shouldn’t need to “declare” anything. If he gets drafted or decides to go the UDF route, he should THEN announce and declare. Until then, it’s kinda silly.I was joking. Flag football was about as far as I got.
Meh. We live in a world where kids hold commitment ceremonies to “sign” with D3 schools that aren’t able to offer athletic scholarships anyway. We love that performative art.Well, yeah, that’s exactly the point I was lamely attempting to make. Seems to me the pros get to decide. Joking about someone's professional future is not funny.I was joking. Flag football was about as far as I got.

The sports illustrated transfer announcement said he had 2 years left. The writer could have been mistaken.
Here’s a good reference article:The sports illustrated transfer announcement said he had 2 years left. The writer could have been mistaken.
As mentioned it looks like he used up his 4 years but these eligibility rules have gotten so screwed up it's hard to tell.
