But in the end, not even a thank you for your support.
No special offers like "one year for free" from alternative sites.
Appears to be just another corporate deal focused on how much.
I hope the people focused on the $$ get what they want.
For me, it was a good run. Been here for decades. Originally introduced to "Inside Indiana" by IUMyron, my old roommate. RIP.

Years ago I had my posting privileges suspended for three weeks. I contacted Mike Pegram to ask why. I don’t attack or insult other posters. And I rarely if ever tried to argue. I would make a comment and move on.

The one thing that I couldn’t let go of was our pre-conference schedule. The games were not fun to watch. The rationale was it would be easier to qualify for a bowl game. There was a string of 14 seasons without a bowl game and played in a half empty stadium. I didn’t want to see the Hoosiers play Ball State and it was even worse to see them lose to Ball State. That is what got me suspended.

I was a bit surprised when Mike Pegram responded to me. I gave him my perspective and he responded that I was suspended because of abusive language, etc.. I told him to look at my posts, which would show that that was absolutely not true. He responded that my suspension was gonna be over in about a week and not to worry about it. I greatly appreciated his looking into the matter. The unspoken reality of the situation was that he had some real Nazi moderators that didn’t want to read anything negative about anything related to Indiana football, regardless of how accurate it was.

Although I never thought it was Mike’s fault, I thought this website got a lot better when Peegs was split off from it. We got to share true opinions about the coaching staffs, stadium, uniforms etc. The board moderators were practically invisible. The one thing that wasn’t attacked was anything personal about the players. If this board is resurrected elsewhere, I really hope it can continue the civility and enjoyment of recent years.

A Couple things I hope they do on the new forums Atleast are to mod tf out of the Pukie/KY Trolls that bs their way onto here! Also, how bout putting some gif options on there so I don’t have to copy and paste from another site every time!? Maybe some emoji options also!? Stuff like that!

The football boards have always been far more civil than the basketball boards. Far fewer high school heroes and HPER MVPs posting there.

Well my subscription should end any day now. I canceled right after my last monthly billing so that I could get as close to the end of the month. I've said before, when my wife and I bought our season tickets ago I found the Hoosier Huddle site and Podcast. Then I found this site, so these have been my 2 primary sources. Did mostly the free board here until last season then I got the monthly subscription to help support it. Didn't really see much difference between the premium and the free so was going to cancel but then Sammy and TJ got this board and it was night and day difference. Sad to see this end but I'm excited to see their relaunch of the HH.

Hopefully there isn't a bunch of legal non-compete crap that slows them up or prevents them from adding some features right away.

The person who ran the site before HH went to ON3. ON3 then bought Rivals and will close this place down. HH will reopen under a different domain. The new place here can go suck donkey balls.

So Hoosier Huddle used to be an independent website run by Sammy and TJ, They also have a Podcast. The old site was just a website and focused only on Football. It did not have a forum. A few months ago when the old crew left for ON3, Sammy and TJ and crew brought Hoosier Huddle to Rivals which is the site we are on now. They picked up the forums and expanded the coverage. So due to the merger to ON3, this site will no longer exist as a Rivals site and Sammy and crew are not moving to ON3. So we are anticipating Sammy and TJ and crew to relaunch the old website and potentially add a forum so that is what most people are talking about.

Not sure what the relaunch looks like and if they are adding basketball in addition to the football content. It was a good site before and they did a great job with it, they just didn't have the forums component and ran it on a shoestring budget so I'm more than willing to chip in what I would have spent here to help them out.
