I never thought he'd be as good as he is at the moment..
Course that’s a one game assessment.
And that game he looked lost.

Love is clearly top priority from staff and for good reason, but two other guards to keep an eye out on are Keshon Gilbert and AJ Starr.

Keshon Gilbert (UNLV) is originally from STL, had a nice improvement from freshman to sophomore year. Averaged almost 12 ppg to go along w 4 rebs and 3 assists while contributing almost 2 steals a game on the defensive end. Shot 38% from 3. Has some serious Armaan Franklin vibes to his game and is arguably the best two way guard in the portal.

AJ Storr is a 6’6 wing from St. John’s originally from Rockford IL. 3 level scorer with great athleticism who averaged 9 ppg and a 40% 3pt shooter. Scoring numbers are misleading as he had a monster second half once finally entered into the starting lineup. Would have three years of eligibility left.

Essegian is great but Wisconsin runs stuff to get him open. He fits their style better than say what Woodson would run. Woody might run a few plays to open him up for some buckets but it wouldn’t be as many as Wisconsin.
