He had multiple top 3 recruiting classes without the results that Duke and Kentucky had. It's a lot easier to recruit at AZ than Xavier.

I sure they can find a way around. How does duke get three top ten players every year. You can't tell me all those guys meet Duke education standards. No way.
X is a bandit program, they don't need to "find a way around"...open borders at X. Wave 'em in.
With his reputation ( earned or not), he will have a difficult time winning over Indiana hs and AAU coaches and parents. That, and the fact that it is Xavier, should keep him from being successful at getting 4 and 5 stars.

I am not so sure guys like him and Calipari are slimy but they can line up top talent no issue. If Xavier really was so squeaky clean and holier than though they would never have hired this slime ball in the first place. The fact they have hired him says volumes about what kind of program they want are ok with having. A guy like Sean Miller is who he is and he will not change.
X has never been squeaky clean, they have always been a program on the edge. Miler is not a surprise.
How dare Xavier hire a Good (but Cheating) Coach and make Mike Woodson have to recruit and coach harder to have success. LOL. CMW just needs to take care of business and IU will be just fine.

Please give me one example of a recruit we wanted who couldn’t get into school. Except for Ron Patterson getting Creaned for us being oversigned. It’s never happened. If you can fog a mirror and play basketball, you can get into IU.
After one meeting, Knight eliminated Glenn. He was never going to be admitted to IU.

When was the last time a player was academically ineligible? Used to happen all the time int h 80's and 90's but not anymore. I guess they take basket weaving now!
All universities including the elite have majors that athletes who are less capable or interested in academics can succeed. They also have good academic support and tutoring.
Entire departments at UNC.
Believe Deonta Vaughn out of Arlington didn't qualify out of high school and instead went to a prep school for a 5th year and ultimately ended up at Cincinnati and I believe the same to be true for Armon Basset although he ended up sticking with his Indiana commitment.
I simply do not believe all of these five stars at Duke or Kentucky are cutting it in the classroom. My guess in the one and dones or even two year players rarely go to class after the first semester. Duke is supposed to be a very very hard school yet coach k has never had a guy academically ineligible that I can remember. I guess he just gets all the 4.0 five star recruits. LOL! I guess there are also plenty joke majors now that did not used to be around. We all know they dont go to class at UNC but I thought Duke is supposed to has some super high standards.
Duke has target pud programs and Ky...while consisting almost exclusively of pud programs isn't concerned with classroom thingys for BB playas.

IU is no harder than UK or Duke for athletes. Tutors keep you eligible I can guarantee you that. That’s absolutely not an excuse for our ineptitude.

No I would be shocked in the kentucky guys even go to class after the first semester. Coach K gets this holier than thou status by the media but in reality all he has in an NBA farm system or one and dones. They are for the most part not student athletes.
I remember the guy from Indianapolis had to sit out in Sampsons first year for grades cannot remember his name now. He was a guard.
The slimy schools will push the NIL as far as they can and Sean Miller will be one of those guys. The NCAA does not care so they will push it big time.
