Anyone heard anything from Sope?

Yes, I believe he is. We knew each other from the dog park and he quit coming when he moved, as far as I can tell. But no listings for him in obituaries.
That’s good news. I disagree with everything when it comes to politics with Cosmic, but I’m sure I’d enjoy drinking beer with him and shooting the shit.
Cosmic and I spent an IU game sitting next to each other. Talked all evening and it was fun. I’d do it again.
Cosmic has some great stories that are just throwaways to him
The young man Cosmic brought to the game with him showed me the good heart Cosmic has.
Have never doubted he has a good heart. Politics shouldn't be how we measure each other.
He was repeatedly mocked and abused here by one poster in particular. When that stuff goes unchecked, people end up leaving.
Wrong…he made some bold predictions and then disappeared when he figured out his sources had hanged him out to dry. Look at the time of his last post.
I am just glad to hear that he is ok.
He incessantly mocked other posters. Dbm etc. then all his young Turks nonsense proved wrong and he split on election night. Encyclopedia length posts that were all disproved was probably a waste

I think Cosmic and I are an example that if you meet and know a person, even if only once, you don’t throw insults back and forth on here. Not once have we ever went back and forth on The Cooler.
This board is for politics. Imo politics are left unsaid amongst friends and family. To a certain degree partners too. Cortez and our friend group on text have kept it going for 25 years. We talk about everything. Family. Work. Sports. Every day. Sometimes all day. Any political post at best may get one or two responses but 99.9999 percent of the time zero politics. It’s just not worth it. Why piss off people you care about
Agree, my golf buddies have a thread for arranging golf games and just gabbing in general. For the most part we leave politics out of it. Of course we only have one democrat on the thread and he gets jabbed every once and awhile. 😂
And that democrat is an old attorney. During the 2020 election we got in a large argument about Biden. I said Harris pretty much called him a racist. The attorney went off on me. I do have the ability to irritate the hell out of someone. He came across the 11th fairway with a golf club in his hand. When he got to me I had used Google and found her exchange with Biden. I told him if he watched anything but CNN and MSNBC he would have known. We usually have two groups and we play fivesomes. The other 8 guys were laughing their asses off.

I pity 'Sope'. I would be willing to do anything possible to help him regain his life, to the point I spoke to a well connected neurologist about his situation when he revealed it to this board.
Before his injury and subsequent dilemma, the person, as a poster, was often condescending, arrogant and dismissive of others.
Some posters on this board for well over 20 years knew him from Columbus, before he left for Georgia. He was aligned with one well-known poster here, since gone, who apparently sailed his ship onto the rocks after viewing the world through the bottom of a whiskey glass for years.
The poster 'Sope' is a sympathetic character here now.
That wasn't always the case.

Daughter got a C in photography. Took her 20 mins to admit that, being a subjective art form and the complete woo woo nature of telling kids they suck at something anymore, the reason she got a C was b/c she turned her pictures in late.

I, too, feel sorry for Sope. Even though he asked me not to feel that way. I always enjoyed my conversations with him. I hope he has found a neurologist that is invested in his health. That, obviously, wasn’t the case previously
