you know itLol did @Cavanagh change the thread title?
Yeah. Those refs sucked a phat kokI did not see this as a "thrown elbow" as much as a basketball move rotation that shoved Race away. Call it an offensive foul but not an F1. And as you say it was certainly not a foul on Race, that decision was indefensible.
dumbWow. He played 37 minutes and made 2 shots. Put him into the hall of fame. Parker wouldn’t start for another team in the tournament or the B1G. One of Parker’s better defensive performances until he fouled a 3 point shooter to make it a 4 point play. Try and separate my critique of the oerowamfe vs the performance. Parker’s performance for the last 6 weeks has been putrid. Shooting around 27% from the field.
They're not that bad or that cheap. I have two of the synthetic ones. My only complaint would be I think they are a little springy, but I did intentionally over air them slightly because they live in the garage year round. I would assume we are playing with a full indoor leather one that would be better and if aired right be pretty good. There's nothing wrong with grip or design.I haven't seen anyone mention it, but they pointed it out on Assembly Call, but maybe it was the ball? It was a weird color (I guess Cuban tweeted that it looked like they were playing with a $5 Walmart rubber ball) and both teams definitely had trouble holding on to it. I just thought we were really tight at first, but Race and XJ both fumbled it a bunch especially at the start of the game, Race and Parker both losing it on their way up for shots and of course their PG with 10 TOs.... Maybe it was the ball?
Race Thompson played only 19:54 against Wyoming but had 7 rebounds, 4 points and 2 steals. I don't know what word applies but it sure isn't "awful" as you claim.Glad we won. TJD & Geronimo played good
The rest of the team was awful. On to Portland
I agree, but had to chuckle reading those last two words. It made me think of an item that one may see listed on a Thai menu. I've been a "pad prik" guy, myself, but you may have just steered me away from ever ordering that again🤣Yeah. Those refs sucked a phat kok
I'd like to see much more Bates and much more Geronimo, but there aren't enough minutes for me to get my way. It's zero sum.Bates should get Stewart's minutes, but he's not in your rotation? Bates made a nice play on that drive and pull up and with our god awful shooting, I'd keep working him in just because he can manufacture points and that's not something very many on our team can do. I agree with benching Stewart and keep playing Kopp some, he's better on D and all around and has still had games where he's shot well. Personally I think Stewart has been 7-10 lbs overweight all year and I can't understand why they haven't worked it off him, because he's slow.
When I saw "performance by myself" in the title, I thought it was going to be a weird discussion that belonged on the OTF.Lol did @Cavanagh change the thread title?
I think at this point, the rotations are mostly set. Bates got a little time because others struggled and got into foul issues. JG got good time because he flat out delivered. If those guys show up when they see the court, they get more time. It’s good to see them have some success as their roles will only increase next year.I'd like to see much more Bates and much more Geronimo, but there aren't enough minutes for me to get my way. It's zero sum.
Putting them in for significantly more minutes means taking out Johnson, Stewart and Johnson and leaving out Galloway to accomplish what exactly? That would disrupt our very good defense, and neither Bates nor Geronimo would necessarily improve our offense over what Kopp, Stewart and Johnson are already providing -- there are no set plays for Geronimo's put-back dunks, and it would be silly to insert substitutions that can't feed the ball to TJD.
But late in the game when we need some fresh shooting and can tolerate a little less guard defense, maybe Bates is the guy to bring in,
