Not sure this is confirmed yet. But seeing reports.

His coaching career has been like a volatile stock. If history repeats itself for a third time, he’ll do well enough at Nevada that some P5 program will come along in a few years and snap him up.

I hope we’re not that program.

Alford is like Crean not that good but barely good enough to always get another job.

I could be wrong but couldn't Steve get a better job than that? Does Nevada have a lot of money where they can pay their coaches top dollar for that level of competition?

That’s what you get for being in a hurry to get rid of Ghost Tom Cream but no matter, this board wouldn’t have been satisfied with anybody except Brad Stevens. IU is a second rate program bc of the administration and they’d never have paid enough for Brad.
Even if they could offer him big bucks, what makes you think Brad Stevens would ever come to IU? Forget that he is from Indiana. Time that the "Stevens' disciples," living in a dream world, move on.

It depends how much he wants the money.

I live in Reno and love Musselman but if you wanted him to be the IU coach and think he is some big miss you are a ****ing moron.
why?
They score, they win, they hadn't done so for a while prior to his years.
He won immediately.

An orange ghost. Who woulda thunk.

Steve has accumulated some coaching baggage over the years. Nevada was ranked all season, has been winning 25+ games over the past several yrs, 3 straight NCAA tourney appearances, a fan base that cannot be anywhere near as bent out of shape as we presently are, nice area and weather and Steve & family have lived in the southwest for a while already. Seems like a good gig to me.

Nevada is on the same level as New Mexico. They were only relevant because they had players returning and still choked in the tournament
