Alan Huss at High Point. Unproven super young coach (46) who hasn't turned a bad step yet.

Played with Kyle Kover at Creighton and was an assistant under McDermott before HC duties at High Point, where he is winning 0.78 so far in a pair of seasons.

Totally unproven at a high level. But if you are looking for potential diamonds in the rough.... he may be one.

Uh, no. How bout Bob Jones he's the 5th grade volunteer coach at Centerton grade school. His 5th grade girls team was 12-11 this year.

High Point punched their ticket today. Huss to the dance.

If he wins a first round game the offers will start pouring in.

IU should consider him now or in the future if the other candidates wash out for whatever reason.
I was very impressed with his coaching at La Lu (although a limited # of games)

Some have credited Huss for creating McDermott's successful offensive scheme.

Watched his LaLu teams several times and was never impressed. Accumulated really good talent, but watched them at the Dicks National Invite when he had Perea and company and they were totally outcoached by the teams they played (including, if I remember right, Kevin Boyle when he was at St Patricks)

Didnt we already try the diamond in the rough with archie.

Each year his offense been a top 25 offense at High Point also has them in the tournament. Definitely a upcoming coach wouldn't be surprised if he gets a power 4 job soon.

Fwiw, he was asst head coach at Creighton; also coached at Culver MA. Among the "unknowns", I'd have him ahead of Calhoun & Odom, behind McCollum.
