Here's a research question. Does each conference team receive an equal distribution of one share of the sum of all bowl payouts. Or is the share a net of the payout after bowl expenses of each team. I ask this because it has been noted that for lesser bowls, the costs associated with participation are pretty much a wash. I believe I read this in association with articles on our participation in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl.
