I lost my step dad Oct 30, 56 years old, 5'9, 170 pound outdoorsman.
He's why I took it. A perfectly healthy man that loved to hunt and fish died 3 months after having his yearly checkup with a clean bill of health.
That's why I got the jab. I will do me.
Nobody that didn’t take the vax blames you or holds ill will towards you for taking it. Can you say the same of the unvaxed?
I’m sorry you lost some friends but there is absolutely no evidence that the Covid-19 vaccination causes or worsens cancer. It’s just another bogus conspiracy theory.

I was speaking up about why I took the vax, which in my view, was a valid reason for me. You have your reasons not to, cool.
Your not doing it, but let's not pretend that theirs people on your side that look down on me because of what I chose to do like people of my side do you. If we could be a little more civil towards one another, that one go a long way, yet here we are, always needing to one up the other side.

He’s correct. If you work in healthcare then you know what was going on in real time. We lived it.
The initial vaccine saved lives. Once the virus mutated past Delta….the vaccine became essentially not effective….and the virus is already thru the areas before the new vaccine is available.
The government dropped the ball with regards to messaging and did not adjust quick enough
Even with "the initial vaccine saved lives"...it still wasn't worth taking it for 90% of the population. In dire cases,fine, not for the entire population. It takes 10 years to get approval for a headache medicine sometimes...but the vaccine was good to go in 10 months?..they would have had to tie me down to get me to take it.
Nobody should have been forced to get it but the reality is that it worked initially.

That is debatable but once again I real time the shit was real. Herd immunity was not necessarily a bad goal to try to attain. Monday morning QB could take it either way but as Spartans said those of us in healthcare knew what was happening and the political posturing on both sides was maddening
I got vaxxed, wish I hadn’t. No boosters and never will. Have absolutely no animosity for those that chose to be vaxxed and boosted or whatever. We absolutely would have to pretend though. There are very few unvaxxed people that look down on the vaxxed. It was the other way around. The unvaxxed just wanted to be left alone, allowed to make their own decisions regarding the vax. So many of the vaxxed hated the unvaxxed. Claimed the unvaxxed were selfish assholes that were killing others. That’s where the resentment resides.

I never cared at all if the average American got the vaccination or not. I always thought we should protect the vulnerable and not worry much about the rest of us.

Of course they were incentivized to push Vax on their patients.
IU Health, Franciscan, Ascension, for example, all have large family practices in their systems.

Tell me how they were incentivized. I’m a small potato independent guy but nobody ever pushed us in any way to vaccinate. We obtained the vaccine like we do every other vaccine (except of course in the early days no $$ passed hands) and shot it into patients arms like we do every other vaccine.
That’s Anthem paying providers a fee as an incentive to have Their clients vaccinated. They were weighing options as to whether they would save money in the long run. Pay for vaccination vs pay for hospitalization. Not unlike your insurance will pay for a colonoscopy without symptoms.
