I didn't defend anything. I even said "at least thats the reasoning given". Which means that's excuse the FCC used. If they did terminate because of pettiness then that's terrible. Indefensible really. While starlink isnt the fastest it's still amazing tech , in that it can reach virtually anywhere in the world. And it's fast enough to do anything essential.

I have a theory. It could be that he sees tackling Federal spending, fraud, abuse and waste, as a challenging but worthwhile endeavor worthy of his efforts. And that the risks of not doing so are potentially existential. Not just for him, but for all American citizens.
That theory doesn't involve intrigue and conspiracies, though. So that's out.
