LA Tech plays no defense. Lucky for them they hit some shots. That team will not be an at large bid. They better win their conference tourney.

They play aggressive and swarming defense. We weren’t strong enough with the ball in the second half to destroy them. That is where we really missed RP IMO

I want to change my own comment.

The first half defense was not good and in the 2nd, Indiana just forced the entry passes too much for a chunk of the second half. Then, for a while, La Tech had pretty good man defensive pressure but they did not find TJD very well because he was consistently getting the ball inside of 6 feet.
The double teaming that they did was modestly effective.

There.

LA Tech has a few outstanding athletes.
Their leading scorer last night was very athletic, B1G level athlete.

Their RPI was 185.

Others so far: Western Illinois 333; Portland St. 113; N. Alabama 224; Troy 312; Princeton 162.

IU's RPI after 5 games was 212.

SD State was very good last year. This year lost to Neb by 17 & USC by 18 on the road....but then played AX to a 7 point game at AZ. They will probably be the best team we've played to that point.

FSU is 5-1 and #31 in RPI.......really looking forward to that one.

We're going to find out what we have against FSU. They're a good team but it's pretty much a must win if we want to go dancing. It's going to be hard to get quality wins on the road.

Just think that it's one of our best chances at a good victory. I hope the Hall is rocking.

It's been like a mausoleum so far this year.

The fans don't like this schedule. The team will have gone for over a month without playing anyone of interest, until we play FSU. That is taking the taking the season ticket holders for granted, imo.

LA Tech likely has better athletes than SD State.
SD State's big stud has graduated.
