Surely the refs only saw that punk slam his head to the ground with his facemask after the play. Surely the face stomping would have been enough to warrant an ejection if they had seen it right?
Was glad that they replayed it on TV. He should have been ejected but at least his classlessness and IUs refusal to respond in kind was put on display for everyone at home to see.
We all thought the guy who threw Brookins into the net would be tossed for sure...Purdue fans included around us. Now was he the same guy who stomped on Wilson's helmet? Even the "Hammer and Rails" homer mentioned it in his story, but didn't identify who it was.
Dont think so. I was keeping eye out for #3 after that play. If memory serves both plays were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct so 2nd would have resulted in auto ejection if it was same guy.
