I know that Goode was looking for an additional year.who haven't taken a redshirt year, may get more 1 more year of eligibility
Assuming a 5th year is granted.I think if we used the criteria in the past, Goode probably wouldn't have a very good chance of getting an extra year, but with a lot of the conversation being had at the NCAA office about redshirting and criteria, he has 60-40 chance of getting another year. If you look at the recent NBA mocks for the next draft, I haven't seen an IU player in the 1st round. One thing Woody can do is retain talent.
A million dollars more attractiveAssuming a 5th year is granted.
I could see IU not losing a single main rotation player, except the "super seniors" (Galloway, Leal, James).
That's obviously unlikely to happen. But with IU's NIL capacities, staying around another year is probably quite a lot more attractive than it used to be.
Seems so. FWIW, I looked a while ago and I’m not an NBA contract expert at all, but IU NIL (and add rev share to that next year) is generally more to quite a bit more than 2nd round two-way contracts. Players need confidence they can get some guaranteed money on an NBA roster to make it clearly more financially lucrative vs. IU from what I can tell.Assuming a 5th year is granted.
