OSU will be ugly... Whoever Fants covers will have over 200 yrds receiving, that guy is just horrible.

Thankfully, after that inept display of finishing off a really bad team, Gameday will steer clear of Bloomington.

Does IU lead the nation in penalties? It looks just like the Bill Lynch years, no discipline, no football smarts.

Let the coaching search begin.

This is officially the stupidest post in board history. We are 4-0 and got a road win. Plenty of things to clean up, but good God, are you drunk?

Also OSU beat NIU 20-13 last week. Fire Urban.

God is good and I don't drink, but I do know a solid football team when I see it.. and I don't.

4-0 but not one of those wins that couldn't easily have been a loss. We fans have no cause for confidence in any game. Which is better than so many previous years when we could be confident we'd lose most of our games.

Your post is about as idiotic as the Moron that said we wouldn't win another game after SIU. Why are people so angry after a freaking win? Stupid. Just stupid.

Would you rather be Purdue? 1-3 with a MAC loss at home.

That was kind of a weird game. I think it was the most dominant we were at the line of scrimmage all season, and WF has two linebackers who probably will be in the NFL. On the other hand, we had some lapses, some moments of doubt. But of course 4-0 is great; winning all these non-conference games was a preseason goal, and we did that. There was doubt we could accomplish that. For the Big Ten schedule, I don't think we should look at it as "this is a winnable game, that's not a winnable game." We should look at them all as winnable, and that way we may beat someone we're not expected to.

I think Wilson took his foot off the gas at 31-10. I understand trying to pound the ball, but WF kept loading up the box and IU's response in the passing game was pretty much to throw to the boundaries, where their corners played pretty aggressively and took that away for much of the second half. There was space in the middle of the field, but IU was really hesitant to throw between the hashes. Would be interested to know what they saw that made them keep going that direction rather than breaking tendency and doing more up the seam.

Agreed. They also went away from the TE over the middle which was working in the first half as well.

At least they are 4-0 and we have not been able to say that for a long time. I have been very critical of Wilson but to me at least has has finally brought in players who actually look like big ten players. They are bigger and stronger and more athletic than IU teams of the past and we are playing a lot of young players on defense so there will be some mistakes.

I suspect they thought the the middle of the field was just too crowded, with the safeties pushing up too much and creating too much trash for anyone to run through. Having really good corners makes that possible, and their's were good. Also tougher to run play action as effectively out of the shotgun, and impossible to do when you empty the backfield via pre-snap motion with the back, as they did several times today. The ball has to come out quicker then.

I'm not saying everything is sunshine and rainbows, but can you at least enjoy something positive for this program that has had a lot of hard luck. I've seen us drop passes to win, officials make mistakes with rules/timings and weird tip passes beat us and yet you complain like Indiana is awful. Lots to improve on but we have an identity that is winning games on the ground.

Van, see your posts and not going to go personal or flame you. Would just suggest you are truly being negative with a group that is trying to be positive and supportive of IU, which is 4-0 for first time in 25 yrs. No one is likely suggesting that IU is now the next B10 powerhouse or that all 4 of the wins have been tremendously executed or pretty. But why do you want to come on right after the 4th win and start criticizing, being negative and focusing on all potential things wrong or bad with the program? Maybe it's a play to get the 19 responses you've gotten, but it's kind of like a kid who's acting poorly to get attention.

No one really needs your negative focus. Why don't you go onto twitter, Facebook or create your own "IU is overrated/Wilson must go" blog and have at it. And then you can really ID all who agree with you and enjoy focusing on those issues and that could be a great platform for you. Good luck and hope you take the feedback to heart that you are really acting like a very unwelcome guest.

Wow. You mean other teams besides IU drops passes. It's good to be on the other side of that outcome. Way to put all zero of those who think they had a chance against OSU back in their place.

Remember all of those dropped passes we had that people like to point at and say "we were only a dropped pass against Iowa away from a bowl"..."we were only a dropped pass against Michigan away from a bowl"...works both ways.

Even teams that win national championships get lucky in a game or two and have some officiating calls go their way that maybe shouldn't have. We have been lucky in all four of our games, and that's great. But what I have noticed though this season is that when we have some offensive momentum, we seem to squander it at times. In other words, it's not so much what the other team is doing, it's what we aren't doing to keep drives going and basically put the game out of reach. So going forward, I think we need to keep our foot on the accelerator.

Well stated IndyIuFan66. We don't people like this nor does the program.

I'm as critical as they come but......wow!
Van Hoosier trying to lay the smackdown. He normally saves his rants for basketball season. He may have been disguised as one of the Wake Forest fans today in Section 16 yelling at Wilson that we play dirty. I think it was him.

I've only been coming here for a couple of years so there are probably things I need to learn. So help me out:
1. Your profile says Hall of Famer. How does one get that moniker? # Comments? Amount of negativity? Responses to threads?
2. It also says you have well over 13,000 posts. It appears most of them are negative in nature. Are you really a fan of the Hoosiers or just a pot stirrer looking to get people fired up?
3. Is VanHoosier Latin for can't stand Hoosiers having some success?

There are lots of hobbies out there that can't get you so depressed. Stamp or coin collecting, bird watching, crossword puzzles... just to name a few. Have a great evening.

VanHoosier and the spa should start their own blog and just talk to each other.

That would require Ord... errrrrrrrrr... the Spa to admit that he's not who he pathetically tries to pass himself off as... We should all look forward to his coming reply. I know I will! *Rolodex spins*

I don't know Ordman and, with under 200 posts, I don't know you, either. Perhaps you're deflecting because it's you that is trying to cover up a past identity. Let me check with Van Hoosier since I've been accused of being him / her, too. Or Tesla, or Jim television, or Zlinedavid, or . . .

What ever happened to the threat of suspensions for personal pissing matches? Empty...I guess.

Going back to the title of this thread. Is it purposely misleading? For one thing both of those passes were contested and good plays to break them up. They were not simply drops. For another thing both passes would have TIED the game if completed.

Let's all show up for the Rutgers game- that game will decided where ends this season, and by obvious association where heads HC Kevin Wilson's tenure at IU. I'm of the opinion that he continually leaves points out there with terrible clock management and over-aggression on offense. We have completed the stretch in the schedule wherein we faced teams we could beat over-coming questionable decisions from the sideline. I find it entirely appropriate that whether we bowl or not is the decision point for extending or firing. HC Wilson the time is now to be come smarter in your decision making. We could get 8 wins or 0-1 more..... it's all there for the taking. Rutgers will be HUGE

Ordman...? No, Ordfan. That's you. You know it, people on this board know it. Stop being a hypocrite, the irony is just too delicious.

I'm not either of them, but it's clear you're only here to attack me, so I'll let the mods deal with it.
