Honestly, it’s probably not worth much here. Worth a shot to reach out. But I have to imagine he’ll end up at Arkansas.

what event is on your bucket list?

It’s an unforgettable experience. I think even people who don’t enjoy golf would love it. The course is one of the most perfect places you could ever visit. There isn’t a blade of grass out of place. They even dye the water in the ponds to make it look perfect.

Sean Miller is a pretty damn good coach. A helluva lot better than his stiff of a brother. He’d be a better hire than Mark Pope. That’s for sure.

Yeah, he’s only had moderate success at BYU. Would he even be considered if he wasn’t an alum? I strongly doubt it. If I’m Barnhart, I’m going after Chris Beard.

Yeah...of all the spoils of being very wealthy, the only one I've ever truly envied is a private jet. It is a very, very nice way to travel. I don't care about yachts or mansions. Cars are cool -- but the excitement is fleeting. But the jets....the jets are something I'd never get tired of.

Reminds me of the people who did the same thing here back when Crean was hired (or was it Sampson? Or was it both?) Some people are just way too ate up with this stuff.

    A must get!…

I remember when people said that about Dru Smith when he transferred from Evansville. Ended up all-SEC at Mizzou…and in the NBA.

Don’t understand the Purdue fans joy

I do. Purdue has been very, very successful under Matt Painter. More than they ever were under Keady (and they were pretty successful under Keady). In fact, I'd say that Painter is clearly the #1 coach in the B10 -- and I would've said this before this tournament run. Obviously, it's...

Worst way possible? They just played in the NC game. So they lost. You have to get there to lose.

    Scott Drew to Kentucky

I don't get the impression that Mitch Barnhart is as caught up in the idea of hiring somebody because they're alum as he is in hiring somebody because they give UK the best chance to win championships.

    Scott Drew to Kentucky

Given that this is a prediction, not a report of fact, you should probably edit your thread title....maybe put a question mark after it or something like that. It's written as a report of something that's happened.

Purdue is gonna win the whole thing….

Edey is the dominant player he is not just because he's 7'4" -- but because of what he can do with that frame. He has incredible touch within 5 feet, for one thing. He knows how to create space and how to use it once he has. He's a pretty good FT shooter (71%, I think?) -- and gets to the...

Purdue is gonna win the whole thing….

I have to imagine UConn would be favored in a matchup. As great as Purdue has looked, UConn has looked even better. Clingan/Edey would be an epic matchup.

Should IU start putting names on the back of the jerseys?

I'm not saying that the stadium, facilities, uniforms, and fan support are the problem. I'm saying that our unwillingness to change the program's culture (as symbolized by things like having names on the uniforms) is the problem....and the reason we keep having repeated disappointments. Of...

Should IU start putting names on the back of the jerseys?

Whether we like it or not, the names on jerseys being broadcast on national television offer exposure to people who are very much interested in exposure. Nothing they will ever do for NIL money gets the eyeballs that actual games do. Why would we want to cede this edge to competing programs in...

Should IU start putting names on the back of the jerseys?

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We should not treat traditions as sacred cows. FWIW, I don't think that candy-striped warmups and Martha the Mop Lady are the problem. But that we're so hesitant to accept change is -- and the...

Should IU start putting names on the back of the jerseys?

Because, whether we like it or not, players are marketable products and they see themselves as such now more than ever.

    Jake Diebler

Yeah, I thought of him. I just didn’t think I’d classify him as having turned out to be a success. But he took an IU team to the finals as the HC - and was sure as hell the last one to do so. Can’t take that away from him.
