Buffalouie's, Yogi's, Social Cantina, and Aver's Pizza coming to Memorial Stadium

Among the changes IU Football fans will notice in Memorial Stadium is the presence of several local favorites, including Buffalouie's, Yogi's, Social Cantina, and Aver's Pizza. In addition, there will be the traditional person-to-person concessions options that fans are accustomed to, and several new Grab-and-Go locations designed for convenience. Collectively, a trip around the concourse of Memorial Stadium will reveal a much different and more diverse list of concessions offerings, ranging from chicken wings to Italian Beef sandwiches to tacos.

A Thumbnail Overview of the Game Day Timeline and New Amenities

Just glancing at that article it sounds as though Scott Dolson and staff have made a serious effort to both listen to the fans and to attempt to upgrade the Game Day experience accordingly...

Now if we could just get that Bison mascot on the field 😉😎...

A few hours to Kick Off // FIU thumbnail overview

Their head coach knows his business...

I don't think they have the talent to hang with us but I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't tested early and then we pull away in the 2nd Half...

Actually..., I expect us to annihilate them like everyone else, but figure we're bound to have some first time out kinks to work out early on...

Our DL should be able to dominate their OL so the game might be over sooner than later...

I'll be most closely watching our DL and our LB's, along with our own OL to see who looks sharp in the opener...

It'll also be time to see if all the preseason award talk is beginning to be matched by some regular season "walking the walk"...

Does this amount to Treason?

Let's say you're a a disgraced former US politician facing charges related to child pornography and you flee 2 days before your trial is set to begin. You can choose to flee practically anywhere to hide, and you choose of all places, Russia. Not only do you flee to Russia (via Turkey), but for good measure you join the Russian Military. You become a drone operator and play a key role in the war vs Ukraine, while also participating in Russian popaganda media targeted to the US...

Are you a Traitor?

"A former Massachusetts city councilor who fled the U.S. before his trial on child abuse material charges insists he’s not a traitor for joining the Russian military.

Wilmer Puello-Mota, who allegedly fled the country in January two days before his trial was set to begin, appeared in a video Monday released by the Russian Defense Ministry that described him as one of their reconnaissance drone operators. The disgraced former member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard previously appeared in Russian media reports in April as he signed paperwork at a military registration office in Khanty-Mansiysk."

Our lads reports

I-69/I-465 interchange now open

They opened the I-69/I-465 interchange on Tuesday quite a bit ahead of the schedule they put out at the start of this section of highway. Good news for any of you coming to Bloomington from Indy or north to football games this year. No stop lights until you get into town all the way.

Gavin Seebold among the top impact pitching transfers...

D1Baseball started doing a rundown on the 85 top pitching transfers leading up to the new season. Seebold was among the first group they identified.

79. Gavin Seebold, RHP (Southern Indiana to Indiana)

The Hoosiers made a high-quality addition out of the portal in the talented 6-foot-1, 200-pound, righthanded pitcher. Seebold started 10 games and appeared in 16 for Southern Indiana last season. He struck out 58 and walked just 18 in 71 innings of work, while also limiting teams to a .255 OBA. Seebold can do a little bit of everything on the mound, and should be an asset for IU.

My never will happen ideal conferences

Based mostly on geography, rivalries, tradition , like-minded institutions, with one exception keeping schools in the same state in the same conference, keeping the current 68 power 4 schools and adding a few....so basically fan's conferences. without $$$ considerations.....

Big 16 (Formerly known as the Big 10)

--Pitt
--PSU
--OSU
--Cincy
--MSU
--Michigan
--ND
__IU
--Purdue
--Minnesota
--Wisconsin
--NW
--Illinois
--Missouri
--Iowa
--Iowa St.

So......16 teams, dumping RU, Maryland, Nebraska, and the Pac 4...adding Cincy, Pitt, Missouri, ND, ISU

ACC

--U Conn
--BC
--Syracuse
--Temple
--Rutgers
--Maryland
--W. Virginia
--NC
--NS State
--Wake
--Duke
--S. Carolina
--Clemson
--Virginia
--Virginia Tech

15.....Hate to force Temple on them. Maybe somebody else would be better....already too many NC schools to add App St or E. Carolina. Maybe Marshall? U Mass? Anyway, dropping FSU, Stan, Cal, SMU, GT, UL, , Miami, , ND, , Pitt, ; adding U Conn, Temple, RU, Maryland, WVU, and S. Carolina.

SEC

--GA
--GT
--Bama
--Auburn
--Ole Miss
--Miss St.
--Vandy
--TN
--UK
--UL
--LSU
--Miami
--Florida
_-FSU
--USF
--UCF

16 teams....Florida-heavy, but that's within the rules. Dropping Arkansas, TX, A&M, Missouri, Oklahoma & S. Carolina. Picking up GT, UL, Miami, FSU, USF, UCF.....USF & UCF both schools with 50000+ students.

The Plains (Formerly the Big 12)

--Colorado
--Colorado St.
--Nebraska
--Kansas
--Kansas St.
--Arkansas
--BYU
--OK
--OK St
--TX
--TX A& M
--Houston
--TCU
--TX Tech
--SMU
--Baylor

16 teams...Texas and Texas North, but why not. I'm thinking Houston & SMU were on the outside looking in. The old Big 8 schools could never get along with the Texas schools, so add a couple more. Switching Nebraska for Iowa St to keep in-state schools together and for tighter geography.

The PAC 15

--Oregon
--OSU
--Washington
--Wash St.
--Utah
--Utah St.
--Boise St.
--UNLV
--Cal
--Stanford
--UCLA
--USC
--SD State
--AZ
--ASU

15 teams.....I violated one of my rules by putting BYU in the Big 12. Adding Utah St. (about 28000 students), SD State (37000), UNLV (31000) & Boise St (26000) to get to 15.

All-in-all I think you end up with 5 pretty competitive conferences with reasonable geography and most rivalries preserved.

EDIT: Adding Colorado St, a school with 34000 students and a great location, to the new Big 12.
