Upland Brewery the craft brew sponsor for IU

BLOOMINGTON (August 29, 2022) – Upland Brewing Company, a craft brewer with three brewery and six brewpub locations throughout Indiana, today announces a new partnership with Indiana University Athletics that will make Upland Brewing Company the exclusive craft beer sponsor starting with the 2022 - 2023 season.

As part of the three-year agreement, Upland Brewing Company will produce promotional beer packaging utilizing IU’s cream and crimson color scheme and branding, host official IU Athletics watch parties for home and away games of all sports at brewpub locations, and utilize advertising opportunities during basketball, baseball and football games. Upland Brewing Company will also have the opportunity to be featured on IU Athletics’ social media and digital platforms, as well as on the IU Radio Network.

The sponsorship agreement was secured by IU Athletics multimedia rightsholder LEARFIELD.

“Bloomington is home for Upland, and IU students and staff were some of our first-ever customers,” said Eddie DeSalle, Upland Brewing Company president. “As a graduate of Indiana University myself, and knowing how many of our team members are as well, this is a meaningful partnership with a very special organization. Drinking beer is a natural part of the sports-watching experience. We want IU’s elite fan-base to be able to enjoy exemplary beer on game day, and we’re proud to be the ones to provide it.”

This is the first collegiate sponsorship deal Upland Brewing Company has had with Indiana University.

”Upland Brewing Company is not only a great local Bloomington-based company, but it has been a wonderful partner to our department since we introduced beer sales at IU Football games in 2019,” said IU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Dolson. “Upland has always offered an outstanding product and I am particularly excited about this partnership and what it means for our department and our fans.”

N vs NW FREE BEER

I’m not sure if anyone else saw this but the internet went down at the game in Dublin. The concession stands only accepted credit cards. Instead of ‘eating’ a big loss and just keeping their beer and food they gave it away. Only catch was what you got had to fit on a carry out tray. It said one guy carried six beers on his. Maybe that’ll happen at an IU game. Riiiiiight.
