Came across some interesting claims from someone and thought this poll could lead to some interesting discussion.

I want to see some responses before I show what prompted this question and I think the discussion will grow from there. Up front, I am a no.

Saudi golf tour member list is growing fast

The addition of DeChambeau and Reed would give LIV Golf at least nine former major champions who have jumped from the PGA Tour. Six-time major champion Phil Mickelson, two-time major winners Dustin Johnson and Martin Kaymer and four others -- Sergio Garcia (2017 Masters), Charl Schwartzel (2011 Masters), Graeme McDowell (2010 U.S. Open) and Louis Oosthuizen (2010 Open Championship) -- are competing in LIV Golf's inaugural event, which starts Thursday at Centurion Club outside London.

Phil is becoming much less an outcast. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It reminds me of the USAC-CART wars that nearly ended interest in open wheel racing.

What debate used to be like

At no point in this conversation do either of these men ever admit the other might have a point. At no point does either of them back off his position. At no point is there any thought whatsoever of a compromise, or any kind of understanding of the other side. And yet, they are able to discus, like adults, for 20 minutes, their disagreements.

I wish we had the fortitude to disagree in this manner today.

Allen’s Comments on QB Ball Protection

Worrisome? Or just wisdomic?

Bazelak threw 16 TDs and 11 INTs last year ar Mizzou. 7 and 6 in 2020.
Tuttle was 2/1 in 2020 and 2/5 last year.
As a team we were 9/15 in 2021 and 16/5 in 2020.
Clearly only 5 in 2020 was huge.

Should we expect picks? Was/is that a function of poor running game that let a defense cheat? Or OL pass protect?

in 2020 we only allowed 10 sacks, 1.25 per game. In 2021, we allowed 29, and 2.42.
In 2020 Mizzou allowed 16 and 1.6, in 2021, they allowed 19 and 1.46.

I don’t want my QB reticent to throw the ball.
I don’t want them to have an ear-wig about INT’s.
I don’t want them hasssled into picks either.

I want it all, and I want it now.

Sigh.

OT: MLB attendance numbers...

With some time on my hands, I took a look at the MLB attendance numbers through yesterday's games. I was primarily interested in what the Reds were doing in that area considering they continue to get rid of players that might help them win games. Oakland's numbers are abysmal with an average of just over 8.300 with more rats probably taking in the game. The rumors persist that the A's may move to Las Vegas, but there seems to be a lot of pushback from the Nevada governor over the amount of public money the the A's want for a new stadium.
