I've turned the corner mentally....

This must be what if felt like to be an Alabama fan when Saban was coaching.

I’ve stayed away as promised…

Until after the election. Congrats to all on the winning side. Though my disdain for DT won’t disappear, I recognize the results of a fair election and will respect the office of the presidency regardless of who holds that position. Though never a huge fan of Kamala I will add that it’s nice to see a gracious transfer of power and respect for the constitutional process

More Cig Proof

Kent State may be the worst team football this year. They were the worst team in the MAC last year - Cig saw Big Ten starting potential in CJ West. He had high stats for Kent (1st in TFL, 2nd in sacks) but not league leading - and Cig still saw what he could do.

Cig has “football eyes” - a talent you can’t teach, like a RB who sees where the yards will be before they’re there.

Is there any better smell

Than from an open fire, from harvested hardwood trees from your own property. Split by hand. While setting under an inclosed 24x24 hip roof (much better than a gay pergola that some people still don’t have).
Smelling all of the Vanilla and deep chocolate aroma from the wood. While it has a deep, yet slow flame slowly rolling all of its essence into one’s nose?
Maybe even a very slight musk smell, that reminds of the sweat that created this heaven. Slight drizzle November rain in southern ish Indiana tapping on the tin roof.
What a perfect stage set, for a total Trump, and good people, landslide on this nov Election Day.
Thank the lord, that it will only take blue states, another 37 days, to count the votes that they’ve had for nearly a month now.
Never allow efficiency to get in the way of illegitimacy, when you need it. Whoa, there’s a hint of maple that nearly sticks to one’s tongue as you breathe in heaven.

I see that IU has only a 30% of beating OSU

Saw the B10 breakdown of upcoming games on ESPN earlier and much to his credit, Desmond Howard said that IU is going to give the Buckeyes all they can handle. They then showed a graphic of OSU’s remaining games and percentage of coming away with a win and they gave them a 70% chance to win against us. That might change, but given all we know I’d think 60/40 or even 55/45 would be a better prediction

I’m not going to say my score prediction, but let’s just say that if any of the two teams win going leg away, it’s not going to be the one in scarlet and gray.

I Am Publicly Thanking...

....the anally rekt 'commentary ' on this board, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, Morning Mika, The Young Turds, etc.

I've laughed out loud more in the past 24 hours than any time I can recall....topped off by the insipid 'concession' word salad offered by the lame duck former candidate....

Thank you all for the continuing entertainment.

I salute you...

Hot Seat?

I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts about Woody's job security. While he's on many fan's hot seats--including my own--I'm not sure there's a sense of urgency within the administration. What would it take this season for Woody to get shit-canned? Even though, on paper, IU has a Top 10 or 15 roster, I don't think the powers-that-be will make any move if the Hoosiers simply make the NCAAT. I just don't think the bar is set very high for Woody.

Here’s my take

IU is 9 games in, 10 weeks counting the bye week. We are no longer a mystery and haven’t been since the UCLA game. Our offensive/defensive strategies and sets are fully known by all of our opponent’s staffs. The reason they can’t beat us is that there is too much high level play in too many areas to shut us down. Not only that, we are deep in each category. Stop the run, ok, we pass - to one guy? No, 6 or 7 or 8. Stop the pass, and we drive it down your throat, with one guy? No, 2 or 3 or 4.

On the defensive side, defense is simply defense. We are tougher than our opponents all the way from the defensive line through the linebackers to the d-backs, again strong in all areas and even though it may be evenx in the first, second quarters, in the words of Cig - we eventually break their will.

This aspect was our nemesis for decades - especially with the Michigan’s, Michigan State’s, Ohio State’s, etc. We have flipped it and because of this, in my opinion, we are favored from here on out because no other team in the B1G has this level of strength in this many areas of their team.

Although always possible, I’ll be surprised if we lose.

Need to hammer Michigan

Indiana would really bolster their CFP chances by not just beating UM, but hammering UM. I'm thinking Indiana probably needs style points and a 20+ point victory would obviously guarantee style points.

It would take a small amount of pressure off of the Ohio State contest, IMO. If Indiana thumps UM and Purdue, but narrowly loses to OSU in Columbus, I think we're a CFP lock.

That said, Indiana has plenty enough horsepower to win outright in Columbus. The two common opponents, Nebraska and MSU, played OSU closer than they played Indiana. Nebraska only lost by 4 points to OSU and lost to Indiana by nearly 50 points! I'll guarantee Indiana has the better coaching staff....Cignetti having an off week to prepare for OSU just might be the Hoosier prescription to victory!

What a season for Indiana football!!!

Official Prediction Thread: IU vs. SIU Edwardsville....

and what are we drinking tonight?

And we're back!! I almost didn't notice that basketball season was starting because we're now a football school! Seriously, with so much well-deserved attention on our Hoosiers on the grid-iron, I must admit my attention has been diverted away from the hardwood. But here were are, back with another season that hopefully will mirror the current success of our football team.

I don't know anything about our opponent tonight, other than we are 27.5 point favorite. I expect a blowout and just want to get to know the team. I didn't get to watch the exhibitions so this is my first viewing of all the new players we brought in. Looking forward to seeing them in action.

IU 93
SIUE 61

Bonus Prediction for the football game on Saturday:

IU 34
UM 16

I think I have a Half Acre Daisy Cutter in the beer fridge, so I'll go with that tonight.

What say you Hoosier fans?

GO HOOSIERS!
