Beating MIchigan and Washington in the same season after they played for the national championship?

I am not sure that it has occurred ever, but I am wondering if it has ever happened that a school (in this case the Hoosiers) has beaten the two schools who played for the national championship during the very next season? What an accomplishment when you think about it!!!!! Go Hoosiers!!!

Official Prediction Thread: IU vs. Eastern Illinois...

and what are we drinking today?

I don't like this early starts! Really puts a damper on my morning to have to get this out so early in the day. Oh well, here we go...

As with the SIU-E game, I don't shit about Eastern Illinois, except that we're a 27 point favorite, again. We should win this one easily, but I don't think we'll cover... again.

IU 89
EIU 65

Just water for me at game time. Have to drive to Crown Point for my daughter's soccer game as soon as our game ends.

What say you Hoosier fans?

Indiana: There's no fluke. Through half of the college football regular season, Indiana is ahead of Ohio State in the Big Ten standings. The Hoosiers are 3-0 in Big Ten play and have won every game by at least two touchdowns, including a road trip to Northwestern on Oct. 5. The first big test comes this week as the Hoosiers host Nebraska in a marquee noon matchup. If Indiana wins big, the schedule gets interesting. No. 24 Michigan doesn't look scary without a passing game. Purdue, Washington and Michigan State are middle- or bottom-tier teams. It's really that one game against Ohio State. And hey, if Ohio State or Penn State lose another game along the way, 11-1 could still be enough to reach Indianapolis.

For our guys with NFL aspirations Michigan is one to play well against... They have some serious talent on that team...and the scouts will be here.

Our guys will be going against 10 or more draft picks out there...

3 of them that we'll see on the field have been projected at one point (and one site or another) to go in the 1st round... (TE, NT, & DT)...

Howard (CB) is supposedly out as is Gentry (T)...

Beat the overgrown weasels!

It’s Bison time…

It’s time for IU to bring the Bison back. Gotta have a cool ass bison mascot prowling the sideline…. Imagine a bison with a big ass gold ring in his nose giant horns and an angry look on his face marching around the stadium. The fans would love the photo opps.. the TV cameras panning to him interacting with fans and the camera. I think it’s time to take him off the shelf and dust him off and start using him to enhance the football brand. Plus it would be cool to see. Just my opinion. What do you all think?
