NCAA is eyeing some seismic changes...

Among some of the changes that have been discussed are abolishing the limitation on the number of coaches per team, eliminating scholarship caps on sports that offer only partial scholarships, and implementing closed periods with the transfer portal with possibly having just a three-month open window period for the portal.

Indianapolis Crime

So I'm out driving today listening to the radio and Guy Releford, (The Gun Guy) attorney is on talking about a recent run in he had downtown. Guy is 6'3" 240 and is approached by some mid 5 foot guy who demands money. He ignores him and the guy starts following him around Monument Circle until he turns around and confronts the guy. This is mid day during the week. This dude is yelling all kinds of give me some money or I'm gonna kick your ___. He has a stare down with the guy and the dude walks away yelling. He mentioned panhandlers, more homeless, and a newer type of aggressive behavior after covid and the downtown riots.

He then interviews the head of the F.O.P. here in Indy Rick Snyder who adds crime against cops is up 63% since last year and 17 cops have been ambushed and murdered already this year. He went straight into judges letting criminals back on the streets and its creating a huge problem. He said cities like Bloomington, Kokomo, Fort Wayne and Lafayette are seeing increased numbers and it will get worse unless something is done. Blames judges and decreased cop funding for the increases.

He also said that this past weekend 8 people were killed here and another 13 injured in one of the worst violent crime weekends ever in Indianapolis. I'm listening to this thinking wtf. What the hell is going on? Does this concern anyone else?

NCAA eyeing some seismic changes...

I posted this on the football forum, but it also applies to basketball as well as other sports.

Among some of the changes that have been discussed are abolishing the limitation on the number of coaches per team, eliminating scholarship caps on sports that offer only partial scholarships, and implementing closed periods with the transfer portal with possibly having just a three-month open window period for the portal.

Transfers - List of new Schools

With all of the transfers recently, is there a consolidated list from the last couple of years on where guys that Transferred from IU ended up? I know I have seen some of the locations (S. Bama, Liberty, PU) but saw the list of the 4 IU Bball players and wondered about all the Football transfers.

I think for the most part, many end up at lower tier schools, but thought it would be interesting to see a running list from the last 2-4 years, since transfers have been increasing.
