I was going to say it’s literally in an interview with a major publication but then I remembered it’s in Time.
No one, especially anyone who would vote for Trump, takes Time seriously.
It was all I could do to get through that tripe.
Being exact with your language is annoying. And yep, it’s required in a legal brief because things are treated seriously. I recognize it’s much harder than just throwing out exaggerations and platitudes.
Real thinking requires “intense scrutiny” and “defending” ideas and language. If you're not up for it, I get it. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
If the reporting is anything political, todays media makes no attempt at objectivity.

That's the first problem.
Here's a good couple of "rules of thumb" you should probably use with regards to Trump for future reference.
1) If something good happened because Trump did something, he's likely exaggerating at best (this is the greatest economy ever) or he's probably lying.
2) If Trump says that he will do something in the future that his base wants (ie, release a health care plan in two weeks, prosecute Hillary, build a 40' wall covering the entire Mexican border and have them pay for it, etc.), he's probably lying.
3) If something bad happened and Trump says that it's liberals, deep state, or the media out to get him, he's lying (it's likely his fault).
4) If Trump tells you that he is smarter than "insert X profession here", he's lying.
You know, on second thought, it would probably be safer to just assume that everything he says is a lie....
