IU is struggling. They gave up an unearned run in the 2nd, and then in the 3rd, they game up a 2-run HR after there were two outs. Effross is pitching for IU.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana struggled to convert hits into runs in Sunday's series finale vs. Michigan, falling 4-3, at Bart Kaufman Field, despite hitting in eight of nine innings.

Four IU players tallied multi-hit games as Casey Rodrigue each had two. Indiana had 10 hits for the 17th time this season and the fourth time in five games.

Indiana tallied a hit in each of the first seven innings, but trailed 3-2, leaving seven on base. The Hoosiers struck out 11 times.

Michigan held a 3-0 lead and maintained the advantage until a solo home run from Craig Dedelow, his third of the year, put the Hoosiers on the board.

Dedelow was in the middle of the action again in the seventh, hitting a two-out double, before the only error of the game allowed him to score and Brad Hartong to reach first, making it 3-2 through seven.

The Wolverines added the eventual winning run in the top of the eighth as Isaiah Pasteur's solo home run in the bottom of the ninth would've forced extra innings.

What was the deal with Lemonis getting tossed? He was...

going to talk to the on deck hitter when the plate ump turned and tossed him. Lemonis said "I was just going to talk to my guy." Is there a rule that the coach cannot leave the dugout if there is not a time-out?

Re: Michigan-IU Game 3: IU batting B3rd down 3-0. Yet another game

Bunn was chirping all game, even went as far to show up the umpire a bit on a mound visit and throw in a few choice parting words. It's not the smartest thing to do (especially early in the game), but the guy behind the plate today was consistently horrible. Bunn is a bit of a "hot head" to say the least.

Outside of that, you have to play fundamental ball. Your 2 senior leaders had crucial base running errors today (in key spots), Rodrigue breaking a cardinal rule. Never make the last out at 3rd or home (especially down 2).
