Remember the amount you pay on Election Day.

Saw an article yesterday that said the average Joe now pay's 32% in taxes over the course of a year.
Income. Sales. Etc. Average.

IMO that is too much.
We should tell government to knock it off and let the people be.


PS - have any of you had to call HAZMAT yet over a broken light bulb now required by the gubmint? Did ya feel "free"?

Speaking of tax day

Most Americans could do their taxes for free in about 5 minutes if Congress didn't keep siding with the tax preparation industry. Gotta love the free market.

Seriously, that link is interesting. Taxes could be so much simpler. I wonder how they come up with some of the schemes in the tax code. I avoid getting a K1 form at all costs because I've always found them to be almost impossible to file correctly unless you have software that takes care of it. Why make something that complicated?
