The year before covid was released on us... I was doing a trade show at the Javits center in Manhattan (the one with hillary tears in the carpet). I had been working with a specific customer on a "big deal" (sub million, yet big).
Went bar hopping (Barcelona Bar time square, BUCKET LIST place !)
Anyway as I stroll down memory lane... We end up at some roof top bar, It was colder'ish... so they had .... orange, Bath robe things..with hoods. for everyone, that were drinking, to wrap up in.. ... to "stay warm'er".
Anyway, my client, a shady little fvck.... Bolted... "i'm gonna go find us some coke, BRB".
UMMM WTF just happened and I'm setting here in a jail shower curtain, and there is a bar of soap laying between my feet, and I NEVER even had a bar of soap to start with. I'm not lieing !! I swear.
There's more, but he did come back, but couldn't even find COKE in Manhattan... Totally incopotent shit !!
Anyway, I've never done it... Knowing me.. I may find some and make it my Kamakasi check out. ... I wanna go out with my hair on fire and a smile on my face !!

many years ago one of my old law partners represented this twenty/jdb guy he knew. guy had heavy bucks. became a coke head. and after some time began spiraling. kept getting in trouble. one thing after another. lost his driver license. car. he'd show up in the office lobby on a bike covered in blood. wife became an escort hanging around the cigar bar at the ritz. so my buddy took care of his shit for years.

If you get the good stuff, not the crap that’s been stomped with baby laxative two or three times, the numbness you get in your teeth is wonderful. Usually most pronounced in your incisors. Of course it’s all fun & games until you’re doing a couple of grams a day & have to start doing downers to get to sleep every night so you can still get up & go to work tomorrow, but man, those downers make it tough to get going in the morning, so just a bump to get you going….
