Single digit wind chills here in Chicago so any kind of sustained riot is unlikely. The rioting element leaves their principles behind and their anger tends to dissipate when it gets a little chilly.

Why are blacks rioting in this case? Five black officers and a black woman police chief. The answer to me is folks just want reasons to riot, loot, burn and create mayhem.

I have no idea if rioting will happen, it sounds like some actively want it to. I hope it doesn't, and I think the fact the police/DA moved quickly will make a lot of people happy in the system. In 20 days, the officers were removed and murder charges filed. That is a far cry from the norm.
The narrative has already turned to, if you can believe this, "why were the black officers fired so quickly when the white ones weren't".
We can't have nice things.
I hope that no rioting occurs, at all. But to argue that there can't be any element of bias involved, at least in the way that (perhaps) some urban police departments as a whole (even if ethnically diverse) are trained to deal with poorer members of society, is being disingenuous.
It seems like many police officers are eager to make the person they have have apprehended "pay" for their resistance, for running, and in general for their efforts in trying to elude capture. "You want to run? Well, we got you now, M-F-er, and you are going to regret that decision". Which from the point of view of the officer is a pretty common human emotion-driven mindset, but one that has to be set aside as much as possible. The devil may be in the details- was a tough guy, make-them-pay mentality on the part of officers rewarded and fostered in the training of this policing unit?

I was wondering if I missed something. Nobody has rioted, this seems a bit preemptive.
Do you believe we should normalize riots for every incident of potential police malpractice?

I'm pretty sure based on everything to this point this won't be Michael Brown situation. But yes, I too believe we should (generally) wait for the process to play out.
But over a different issue. They announced a $90 million police training center on some forested land in Fulton County. Some protestors were being evicted, one may have fired and weapon and was shot and killed.
Sope might know more about the new training center as I've only read a little on it, I guess it is going to remove one of the big green areas in Atlanta and that has angered people in the area.

Ah, Ok. I just saw a headline and a burning car. Thought it had to do with the Memphis shooting.
A buddy of mine went to Purdue in the early 2000s. He said they rioted when the women's bball team won the title. Which is ****ing asinine. So yes, people just like to **** shit up.
And don't worry fellow Hoosiers. I thoroughly gave him shit for this.
Based on the comments coming out from the police and official agencies, this video is going to be bad. Like really bad. I have seen damage control before but they really seem to be going out of their way.
B cause some people believe in due process & will let the justice system fulfill its role in society.
