I know it went downhill later, but I was older with a child by then. My Friday/Saturday combo party nights were over, for the most part. Although we used to go to there during the week, when it wasn't so crowded.
Another place I liked around that time was The Vu up on 86th street. Close to College and 86th - can't remember the name of the area, but it had the same retro-music dance theme.

See it more as having a understanding that each of them will present themselves to the public as having mutual respect and not as rivals. This includes not making a major move without informing the other. Discuss all rumors which come to their attention.
