You know what's special about IU basketball these days?

It's fan base! How many other schools can fill the gym year after year with sub par teams? It's starting to feel like the Cubs, but IU fans are typically optimistic and have a passion and understand for good basketball. Unfortunately with a few exceptions (the Oladipo, Yogi, Zeller years) and Davis second year with Knight's recruits, we haven't much to cheer about. Just broken promises of rebuilds, and coaches who know basketball (none of which really seem to though the jury is still out on Miller). I'm a life long, die hard and support the team every year but seriously isn't about time things turn around?!! This is getting really old! It's easier to accept losing when your team has passion, IQ and hustles all the time. That was our identity for a long time but that is long gone. We're just like any other average team out there now as if you changed the uniforms, I couldn't tell IU from any other school. Right now we have a lot of guys (though not all) who seem to have the too cool for school attitude. That needs to stop or Miller is toast. I truly hope he is the guy, the savior of IU basketball but at this point, I just don't see it (hope I'm wrong though). Maybe "his" recruits will be those type of guys. The ones who get it and really take pride in putting on the uniform and the guys put their heart and soul into every game. Only time will tell.

It depends on how bad they are expected to be. In Crean's first year I took my wife to the Lipscomb game. We did not buy tickets ahead of time. We walked up to the window and purchased them. We had great seats in the corner in the 1st or second row. Back in 85 a couple of friends of mine walked up to the window and bought tickets. We were in the balcony in the last row. And we were just happy to be there.
