Those sectional games were the best. Several times towed have several of the top teams in the state. Battles.

They were. I have had more than a few arguments over the years about that being the best sectional in the state. I saw a lot of great games in the wigwam.

True story ... The Recker brothers, I believe one was named Jack ... were both headed to Pendleton when they moved but decided on Madison Heights because at the time Pendleton did not have high school football. I think Jack played QB and later played at Anderson University in football. They were both good basketball players.

thanks for refreshing my old memory. Jack was QB and Neal was a RB on that team. Before Pendleton played football on Friday nights, I use to go to all the Madison Heights home games. My neighbor taught at Madison Heights, his kids were in the Pendleton school district.
