They were. I have had more than a few arguments over the years about that being the best sectional in the state. I saw a lot of great games in the wigwam.Those sectional games were the best. Several times towed have several of the top teams in the state. Battles.

The Recker brothers, I believe one was named Jack ... were both headed to Pendleton when they moved but decided on Madison Heights because at the time Pendleton did not have high school football. I think Jack played QB and later played at Anderson University in football. They were both good basketball players.Ahh, the days of Anderson Madison Heights.

thanks for refreshing my old memory. Jack was QB and Neal was a RB on that team. Before Pendleton played football on Friday nights, I use to go to all the Madison Heights home games. My neighbor taught at Madison Heights, his kids were in the Pendleton school district.Rector, Jack and Neal.
