There were dozens of other schools she could have gone to and I'd have wished her well, as I have many other former Hoosiers. She chose Maryland, so she can F off, as far as I'm concerned.tell us how you really feel. while you're doing that, please feel free to share the entire story, as your take on this must mean you're familiar with every facet that went into her decision. would love to know your insight on any NIL that was tied to this, feedback from coach Moren, and anything else you can divulge. BTW, congrats to you on not making this same decision if you were faced with it.
Sorry she didn't consult you before picking her new school. Makes sense to me she'd go to a conference rival. Already would have some familiarity with the staff and possible teammates. The screw up in this from the cheap seats was in not protecting her and punishing MM if what is alleged is true. There were dozens of other schools she could have gone to and I'd have wished her well, as I have many other former Hoosiers. Someone that was here one year vs. someone that was here three? No. Not to mention how Rice was treated by fans here vs how Yarden was embraced.guessing you have the same animosity towards Myles Rice?
Well, thanks for taking the time to respond to a post about it then.Yawn. Couldn't care less about women's bball and I've tried.
That’s a you problem then. They have been much more entertaining than the men for awhile now.Yawn. Couldn't care less about women's bball and I've tried.
I get it. I really wish she would have gone out of conference, but she has some things to consider others don’t. I agree she did receive a lot of support at IU, but I don’t know the details of what all went down with MM. I’m not surprised she went to an east coast school, and Maryland has a strong Jewish population on campus. Sadly, especially now, that’s something she probably took into account. She has been my favorite player and I hate this, but when thinking about it, it makes more sense.
I don't think Yarden or their other transfer pickup, Gracie Merkle, fit Maryland's style of play. Head scratching to me, but we'll see.IU needs an upgrade athletically so I guess there is a silver lining. If you ask me the move feels lateral at best not sure what she is thinking other than the NIL money at Maryland is better? Makes little to no sense otherwise.
Going off topic here, but what the heck has happened to Purdue's women's program? Incredible powerhouse in the 90s/early 2000's to 3-15 in the BIG. I know they had to dismiss Versyp, but I thought Geralds would do better.I mean, would you rather she went to Purdue?
What an odd response.
Do you really believe she should have based her decision, in part, on how mad fans would be?
Ridiculous.
Really? Wow.There were dozens of other schools she could have gone to and I'd have wished her well, as I have many other former Hoosiers. She chose Maryland, so she can F off, as far as I'm concerned.
That’s a matter of opinion. Better relative to their competition level, for sure. More entertaining…nah. That’s a you problem then. They have been much more entertaining than the men for awhile now.
It’s subjective. Is baseball more entertaining than swimming? Depends who who ask. That’s a matter of opinion. Better relative to their competition level, for sure. More entertaining…nah.

I'm not sure how it works with the foreign players now....but Bozich is saying he heard between $350K-$400K for Yarden. Not bad, wonder if we could compete with that on the women's side?Being foreign she cannot collect NOL from the collectives. It has to originate in Israel for her. Edey complained about this last year, his inability to collect NIL.
I agree with the poster above, her game does not seem to fit Maryland. Maybe they are changing
They must have changed the law, this story was one year ago:I'm not sure how it works with the foreign players now....but Bozich is saying he heard between $350K-$400K for Yarden. Not bad, wonder if we could compete with that on the women's side?
I never expected Yarden to have a real since of loyalty to IU, she's an Israeli. I suspected she wasn't in love when I saw her deadpan expressions when everyone else was excited. She got what she come after and now she's going to market it.There were dozens of other schools she could have gone to and I'd have wished her well, as I have many other former Hoosiers. I just personally find women's bball to be really slow and boring for the most part. That’s a matter of opinion. Better relative to their competition level, for sure. More entertaining…nah
Some type of anti Jewish threat I believeWhat are the allegations?
Could be rev share instead of NIL. And I heard $800k and that we matched it but she left anyway. They must have changed the law, this story was one year ago:

Canadian Edey: U.S. NIL law 'needs to change'
Purdue's Canadian center Zach Edey says he has "lost out on a lot of money" because of a United States NIL law that prevents him from profiting.www.espn.com
It's more a question of whether what she is doing to earn the money meets the defintion of "work" while she is in the USA on a student visa. Passive income is OK (maybe up to some limit?) but work income is very restricted or not allowed.Could be rev share instead of NIL. And I heard $800k and that we matched it but she left anyway.
Kraft, looks like you’re still working on that growing up thing. Go back to recess. What an idiot you are. Pretty lame of you to be a
Now you’ve mentioned it twice. Just shut up idiot. There were dozens of other schools she could have gone to and I'd have wished her well, as I have many other former Hoosiers. She chose Maryland, so she can F off, as far as I'm concerned.
Bingo!!!I just personally find women's bball to be really slow and boring for the most part.
Another idiot you areI never expected Yarden to have a real since of loyalty to IU, she's an Israeli. I suspected she wasn't in love when I saw her deadpan expressions when everyone else was excited. She got what she come after and now she's going to market it.
I really don't think there's any locker room issues. I think Moren's simply going for a talent upgrade. But im sure she wanted to keep Garzon . Why she left. No clue.I have no criticism of her leaving. I think Maryland has a much better chance of advancing next year than we do. With NIL and the Transfer portal, fewer people are going to have the loyalty to the school that those of us who watched a player come in as a freshman, develop, contribute down the road and then graduate do.
If she left for academic reasons, great if she left because Maryland will be a better team great, or if she left for more money, great. I completely understand all of that. I will be disappointed. If she left because of how she was treated at Indiana, for example the antisemitism that is rumored, or any team locker room issues that could explain the mass exodus, I think that is our problem and not hers
It could be anything.Could be rev share instead of NIL. And I heard $800k and that we matched it but she left anyway.
What is the MM thing, I missed this?I get it. I really wish she would have gone out of conference, but she has some things to consider others don’t.
