Of all of the info in that first post, this is the one that seems the least believable.

I mean, yes, it is obviously fake, and it is scripted, but it also needs to be practiced. Most of these guys will go through about 5 or 6 passes of the routine to make sure that they have the timing and spacing right. I suppose you could have a script that they follow and practice and just leave off the last step as to who gets the last takedown / pin but there's an "entertainment flow" to these kinds of matches. While it is certainly not unheard of that one guy who is getting a beatdown the entire match suddenly makes a move that flips things and he suddenly wins, that usually is kinda lousy entertainment. By entering betting into the situation, every time that happens now, the crowd is going to be a touch jaded...."What? How did he win? I guess Vegas got their hands on him!"

I guess WWE feels pressured by current in game proposition bets available for bettors.

WWE is working with EY, or Ernst & Young, to ensure that the results don't go public. And get this: WWE creative executives plan to keep wrestlers in the dark who will win just hours before the match begins. That's some extreme secrecy already. I wonder which big sports betting houses will start offering bets on high-profile WWE matches? Maybe the w88 bookmaker I bet with will take part in the promotion. It's an exciting development, and I'm curious how it all plays out. What do you all think about it?

Hey there, that's really interesting news about WWE potentially legalizing betting on scripted match results.

Sports gambling is getting crazy. I turned my car's AM radio to a sports channel this morning and they were discussing betting lines on the NFL draft. Odds that such-and-such player would go top 3, top 10, first round, etc. or what a certain team's draft pick might be, odds that they would trade up / trade down etc.

I am not a gambling prude, but that's just nuts.

We should never forget what happened to Bret Hart. I think of it often

It could definitely add an exciting new element to watching wrestling matches! It's smart that WWE is working with Ernst & Young to keep match results confidential, as that could be a major concern for fans and betting companies. It's also interesting to hear that wrestlers may only know who will win shortly before the match. I'm curious to see how this all plays out and which sports betting companies will get involved. I love to gamble and often play at annecocukbeslenmesi.org, which has been lovely. So I'm very interested in this topic and will follow its development.

I couldn't give half a shit about wrestling, but what little I do know says I think this might actually be possible. I don't think they actually rehearse entire fights. I think they have a specific set of moves they practice, and for any match, they just say, we're doing A, B, and C, and then X pins Y. And, ultimately, the only person who really needs to know the determined outcome of a fight is the ref. He just waits for the right guy to be pinned, and then counts him out, or if that doesn't work, DQ's someone.

we just had an NBA "lottery" done behind closed doors.

if it ain't fixed, why would you do it behind closed doors in secret?

I usually pay closer attention to the NBA lottery. I didn’t realize they didn’t have the regular extravaganza.

they billed it as "the lottery", then they just came out and told everyone what the drafting order would be, with no lottery at all.

it was beyond bizarre to say the least.

Christ, what a crock! I had no idea. Can’t believe fans aren’t outraged on social media.
