Would it Change fans opinions if

We were winning by great defense as opposed to out running and out shooting our opponents. Let's just say if we were a great defensive team and had few turnovers but just a poor shooting team. Honestly, it probably would change my opinion and I would be less critical. I think fans are critical of coaching staff for bad defense but we have to at least give credit for our offense doing better even if it's just due to good shooting.

"Firewagon Basketball" was the hallmark of IU. Defense was not exactly what fans focused on. IU fans aren't necessarily cut from one mold -- some crave O, some think that D will save the day, some pray for balance -- but when it comes to W versus L, there is surprising commonality.
