Woody’s situation reminds me a lot of when Nebraska hired Scott Frost. Nebraska was once a blue blood desperately trying to be relevant again and after many coaches they hire a legend and favored son in Frost (2 time Natty). It proved to be a bad hire and he was fired 3 games into year 5, although it seems most Nebraska fans wanted him gone after year 3. I see a lot of parallels with Frost and Woody. I know most on this board think it’s automatic Woody gets year 4 but I’m not so sure. Dolson will have to double down on Woody after this season (for retention/recruiting) or let him go and start fresh (again).
