I’m no fan of Woody as IU’s coach, but I suspect a very big part of his issues have to do with his staff. Woody gets all the criticism yet if he had a strong staff (like Cigs) we would see better results. I think this may be the weakest part of Woody (besides high school recruiting), not being able have a strong staff of assistants. This season now feels a lot like the last seasons for Archie and Tom Allen. It’s just won’t be official until the season is over. Too bad, Woody is an all-time great IU player, but he’s just not the guy to coach IU basketball.
