I’m with you Al, it was his arrogance that did it for me. The way he treated the people outside the program, the fans, the media, Don Fischer.
He could have one press conference and own his horrible coaching record, admit that he wasn’t the best at coaching college basketball, really didn’t like recruiting, apologize to the true fans, admit that he got petty with the media, and simply say he’s sorry that it didn’t work out like I wanted it to, and I hope you can forgive me for not giving the Indiana University Basketball Program what it deserved.
If he did that, I’d probably be able to at least see him as a player first, and coach second. Right now, Woody as Coach is etched in my brain.
