Indiana basketball head coach Mike Woodson is considering retirement at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Not sure if this is true Brad Stevens just unfollowed the Celtics on X and I don't think he even has an X account.
ESPN saying he will retire at end of season. NO NO NO. Leave NOW. Then there could be chance to see some good BB the remainder of the season. I am tired of what is seen every game
Somebody start calling Braylon Mullins everyday. Keep him updated.
Not saying anyone is wrong, but still can't understand letting him finish season. There could still be some uncomfortable moments in assembly hall and on senior night

Things like this do often progress quickly. This announcement very well could evolve quickly in to an immediate retirement…depending on how Woodson and the players handle it.
But assuming Woodson has a decent attitude about it all…as I’ve said before, I think this is the best outcome or approach.
It should disarm the pitchfork fans, and hopefully free them and everyone else up to cheer for and support the team more the rest of the season.
I’m sure agents and lawyers are involved as is Woodson’s own sense of self. I think he will finish out the year. I think there will be an announcement tomorrow or maybe it’ll be like Mike Davis versus Iowa, and Woody calls in sick on Saturday. In any case maybe the team actually plays better more freely if he does announce he’s not coming back.
It kills me how we wasted this past year. Could we have kept McNeeson ( Sp) had we made the move? How about Mullins and Harrelson? I’ve kind of tuned out but we’ve been hearing about those guys for years and now I don’t know of a single high profile Indiana high school player. Is it a down year or two in the state? We are going to have to hit the portal hard.

If I'm Dolson, he needs to ends this circus before Saturday. Fold Woodson's tent and let him call it retirement but he is canned as we all know. He has destroyed what Jackson-Davis tried to build back up. Dolson needs to tell Quinn Buckner where to shove it too. No more manipulation by former players with buddies. Get a great coach!!! Woodson will ruin IU if allowed to finish the season.

Actually, Who GAS how he feels. He Trainwrecked a season we were picked to finish 2nd in the BIG and lost Mullins and Haralson.
He’s presented himself as bigger than the program. Annnd he’s been the worst coach post RMK, which is beyond tragic.
All that with boosters buying him best team money could buy.

Miller was far worse. Woodson gets blown out by top 40 teams, Miller got blown out by 200 ranked teams .. Woodson gets a buy in from some of his players, Miller never did, not one year, not one game .. Woodson made the tourney. Miller is probably the better coach, which makes the job he did at IU worse than what Woodson has done. He had the higher ceiling but only reached a lower floor.

Letting Woodson finish is the right move in my eyes. This season is a lost cause and we do not want even thought of a Diebler situation with Cheaney or Hunter or whomever. Let an Indiana legend finish his career here despite it being on incredibly sour terms. Keeps the players happy(ier), keeps continuity so Dolson can focus on the coaching search, and no aforementioned Diebler sitch. I'm not saying Woodson necessarily deserves it but no point in burning legacy on winning five the rest of the way and being the first four out.

Moody is tuition free because people give to the school. So it was paid for but not by me. I did have to for books and student fees. I did have the GI Bill which paid our rent and my wife worked at Walmart in Hodgkin's IL.
At some point I'd like someone to put a mic in front of Buckner and Randy Wittman.
