Woodson is a 1 percenter

I’m trying to decide if I’m pissed about his repeated…”just gotta make shots” comments last night after the game. For anyone that listened, did he reference our defense at all?

We did create a bunch of really good open 3s. Some off offensive rebounds, which we were noticeably more active with. But also there was an obvious attempt last night to “look opposite”, which was great to see.

But we took 35 of them because there were also a bunch of rushed, out of rhythm attempts that were largely due to a lack of any sort of movement.

And then our defense…that damn defense…

I didn't listen but I saw the text this morning. He said defense was awful for the entire game. It's something they need to keep working at.

I will say this, of all of our former great players that became coaches, Woody was the only one that wanted to gamble his legacy taking the job. Alford, Buckner, Witman,,, stayed away from it.

The wheels are turning in the right direction behind the scenes. There's talk of getting a GM for the program as we enter the revenue sharing era.

Alford was never offered (thankfully, IMO). He would have taken the job in a heartbeat.
