With 9 current commits and only 12 scholarships (as of now)

I would imagine IU is going to be very selective in who it takes commitments from. Yes there will be some natural attrition this season. Undoubtedly some senior with a redshirt season left may choose to graduate and not play a 5th.... But either way, I don't see more than a handful of additional rides available. So the 12 scholarships may be 15-17 in Feb.

Key notes.
Offensive tackle: IU has two senior offensive tackles and nobody currently committed to play that position. With Camiel moved to guard and Gardner moving to tackle, that puts only Gardner, Baker, and two incoming freshmen at that spot. Jacob Bailey was an OT as a HS player. DeAndre Herron has the size to play RT. But it will be interesting to see how the scholarship count affects OT recruiting. Coy Cronk is a possibility. After that?

Tight End: Two Senior TE's and no committed tight ends. Not really any on the horizon that we know of. Friend has basically not played because of injury and Fuchs and the incoming Dorris are the only scholarship guys. I really liked Sean Damaska a year ago in the spring, but he still hasn't played. Would a JUCO make sense here?

Regardless, we might not hear much about recruiting for 2016 for awhile as IU determines needs and sorts through options. Also, this staff is famous for continuing to pursue kids committed elsewhere through signing day. So I don't see much happening in the near future recruiting wise unless it's truly a priority recruit.
