Wichita!!!!!

You guys excited to see IU against Wichita State this Tuesday at 7:00p.m.? I've not seen them this year. If you have seen a game tell me what we have to do to win? And I mean more than just saying, "score more points than them".
Is the game at 7pm i hope but I saw where it said 8:30

Kinda surprised the've made it this far..
I've watched them couple times...No Van Fleet ..No Baker ..No Shamet..
I could see the east cost alumni from IU getting ready for tickets at MSG..

I don't think IU will win, but I hope I'm wrong.

Last time these two coaches faced off, I assumed one of them was the next head coach. Wichita St. won that game. Doesn't mean things can't be different this time, but it will take a whale of a game from IU.

1. Last time these two coaches matched up WSU had NBA talent....Dayton didn't.

2. I like they way IU matches up against them. They don't have a ton of size and this season, turn the ball over a lot.

3. Why is everyone piing on our coach/team who has had less than 2 years and one recruiting class? Upperclassmen in the backcourt win championships. Freshmen in the backcourt tend to be inconsistent (ignoring the rest of the roster issues that weren't created by the current staff).

Their coach is constantly adjusting his wristwatch, sometimes flipping his wrist violently, at other times adjusting with his right hand. Indicative of major issues. Emotional outbursts likely.

A whale of a game from IU? This is Wichita State, not Duke. While they have had some really good teams and made some nice runs in the NCAAT, this year is not one of those. This year they are 21-14, a #6 seed in the NIT, and playing on the road in Assembly Hall. I don't think it'll be an easy game but I think IU gets the win with even just a good game. Kenpom has them at 74 with IU at 45. "It will take a whale of a game from IU." LMAO

So we should win if we Bring It! I sincerely hope no one on the team reads this crap but if someone does, Bring It! Do that three more times and you'll likely hang a banner in Assembly Hall that will be there of someplace like it forever, or until the sun explodes or something.

Mid-major team with a mid-major coach and a crazy wife.

Marshall is not a mid-major Coach. He'd already be at a big time program if WSU weren't paying him like one. I still think we should win: we're at home with an extra day's rest and I assume WSU will be traveling straight to Btown from Clemson. We need to avoid the early hole and not give them any edge, but we should win this game.

I agree its not the typical Wichita team but IU better come out firing. We have not had a whale of a game all year! I mean a game where the defense and offense clicked, and we didn't have too many turnovers. This will certainly be a good test for Archie!

These games are good preparation for next year and this team needs it. I would still like to see more of next years lineup but whatever it takes. Before we started winning towards the end of the season i wouldn't have given us a shot at any of the teams in the NIT so it's nice to be playing at a better level. Hope we keep it up. Playing in the garden would be an awesome experience for these guys.

Marshall is a mid-major coach. He coaches at Wichita, a mid-major. If he wants to win a title, and put on his big boy pants and become a Power Five coach along with the extra pressure and criticism when his wizard ways don't produce the same winning results when he does not have more talent that the other teams in his little conference. Marshall had his chance to come to IU but chose to stay behind as a mid-major. Archie took the risk and the chance at IU and his career will be rewarded while Marshall will be remembered for dominating small school conference but never winning the big one. Marshall had his one big class and lost. That was his shot. Stomp Wichita.

Except for Juwan, we are seeing next year's team. I don't pretend TJD=Juwan, but that could be the difference between the team playing now and the one we will see next year.

Thompson has missed due to illness, but I would expect to see him play Tuesday. I don't expect Romeo to play.

Well, there is Hunter...who many say is a much much better shooter than anyone we have on the team right now.

I think Marshall wanted the Texas job. He may get his chance 4 years later. Of course if an alum and former asst. named Beard wants it, Marshall again won't get called.

Indianaftw wanted to see next year's team play this year. Hunter can't play now and there probably isn't 100% assurance he will play next year.

I expect that Morgan will be missed the most, but we have others that will collectively pick up his production. Most teams will lose at least one quality player per year.

Well...Zach changed the entire complexion of the game when he came in, as he usually does. He created turnovers and got a key score too. Not only Zach but Fitz too created a few matchup problems. IDK if they could figure him out he plays down low and at the top. Its all good we needed both those guys last Saturday.

All on paper......all our hopes and dreams are on paper.

Just like this year. So-and-so going to be improved. Ohh....Justin Smith can jump 48 inches!!!

Hunter may never play again or play any significant minutes. Period.

Let that simmer for a while.

TJD will play Morgan's position. Still need a shooter and Hunter healthy.

Maybe Marshall wasn't the best candidate. He's good, but he's no Brad Stevens.

Sure they are but no other fan base (other than our own) makes these guarantees and “pronouncements” of what’s going to happen with specific players. That kid may not play again. Hope he does but don’t bank on it.

I hope Hunter gets to play next year but I'm wondering where these reports are coming from (or based upon) that he's an above average outside shooter or he's this or he's that....... I went to Southport and watched him play against DA's team a couple winters ago. He didn't show me a whole lot. He lost his temper and got thrown out of the game, is what I remember. He IS long and he is fairly athletic but I just haven't seen enough of him to say one way or the other. Has anyone watched him play several times?
