Yeah, but he was a really, really good player for the Hoosiers 43 years ago.
Actually, by losing a few starters, and striking out in the portal, it won’t be the same. It will be worse.
So at 14-13 with 5 to go, is the magic number two wins to stay NIT eligible? Sob … either crying or the other sob.
Honestly I don’t give one fraction of a shit for NIT. This season is lost. The sooner it ends the better.
We were in the NIT bubble (outside looking in) 2-3 losses ago.
With our luck, we squeak into the NIT and make it to the final game where we lose and the powers that be say that is enough to keep him and we get to suffer for one more year. Or maybe he turns it around…(no evidence to support this possibility)

This team doesn’t deserve to go to the Nit.
4 games left and likely 0-4. Overall record will be 14-17, so no NIT, unless they desperately need teams.
Back when you were stuck mostly with developing your players for 4 years and occasionally mismanaged your roster with too many freshmen and sophomores, the NIT was an attractive way to gain tournament experience. Not so much in the wonderful world of the portal.
